Last night’s primetime episode of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 was a real turn off. I’m glad, that I’m not the only one who felt that way, who thought what was on display in front our Television Sets wasn’t right anymore.
It’s clear, this years’ batch of Teen Housemates contains some of the worst characters yet. No, I’m not summing them up, but citing Karen, Claire, and Kit pretty much speak for themselves.
I find it very sad that there are young tweens and teenagers out there who actually embrace what they saw on national television and even encourage #KITEN to further do so.
The fact that these young people adore what Karen and Kit are doing might mean, that these young people will follow the lead of the two shameful housemates. They’re definitely NOT good role models towards the youth of today.
#PBBTeens4 episode last night confirmed what I had thought about for a long time already. There’s no way that this stupid “reality” show can garner high ratings and audience if not through backstabbing done by the housemates or PDA moments done by the housemates.
Where’s the value in all of that?
I hope that the teens blinded by the spotlight that #PBBTeens4 has got will see clearly soon, before it’s too late, before they start mimicking the housemate’s actions.

I definitely think too that these batch is certainly not the best group I would want my kids to watch. And that Kiten is annoying huh. It’s sad that a lot of teenagers found them entertaining… tsk…tsk.. Just when I thought that Karen is dubbed as the Conservative probinsyana ng Mindoro ! tsk…tsk…tsk.
I think it’s the society who wants them to behave that way. And it only means that backstabbing or manipulating people can draw viewer’s attention. Then this is an alarming situation we molding our filipino teens to be monsters right before our very eyes. TV ratings at the expense of those poor souls they called housemates.
I’ve watched the first few episodes and I decied to stop… And I think, with this blogpost, my decision is right.
That’s what makes The Amazing Race better than Survivor and Big Brother. in Survivor and BB, because you don’t know the rules yet in the first season, you would love to watch and even join them. But now that everyone knows the way to win, e.g. being plastic, faking your identity, boring na. In AR, even if the American race is on its 20th season, it’s still fun to watch, because that’s the genuine reality.
Tama! Ang papanget ng batch ng mga PBB Teens ngayong 4th edition na ng PBBTE! Pinaka-hate ko si Myrtle, ang daming niyang fans pero di nila nakikita yung ibang traits ni Myrtle na di na maganda tignan like too much cosplaying, sobrang arte magsalita at kumilos, plastik pa!!! Di sila bagay ni Yves and Kit! Hindi siya maganda role-model kasi dadami ang magcocosplay kung manalo siya sa PBB! She doesn’t deserve to win because of that, porket ma-appeal lang siya sa pananamit niya! Aanhin naman ang kagandahan kung malandi pa naman, maarte ka at plastik? Di naman maganda si Myrtle! I know lots of people who are nicer than Myrtle! Isa na ate ko dun! Mas mabait pa ate ko sa kanya at walang bad attitude ung ate ko! I know marami pang ibang attitudes na hindi maganda kay Myrtle bukod sa binanggit ko! Nung nalaman nga ni Myrtle na may gf na si Yves, grabe lumabas na yung true colors niya! Sinabi na susuntukin niya si Yves! Gagawa pa ng TRO para lang di sila mag-usap o magsama! May TRO pang nilalaman! Ang arte niya huh, super! Ang OA pa nga fans ni Myrtle, hindi nila kaya tanggapin na marami ding naiinis kay Myrtle! Kung maka-react din sila, akala mo kung sino na nagmamarunong kasi mali rin sila na sugurin ang bawat anti-pages sa Facebook! That’s one reason why I hate PBB because sa mga annoying fans (especially Myrtle fans)! Wala nga akong bet na manalo sa PBB! Ang matino lang naman dyan sa mga housemates si Alec, Roy and yung kambal na babae! I’ll still vote though (kahit di ako nanonood ng PBBTE4 araw-araw) para ma-evict din yung mga housemates na ayaw ko by supporting the 2nd weakest nominated HM, yan ang strategy ko at minsan gumagana (pag malapit lang ang boto sa isa’t-isa), minsan rin hindi! Nakakatulong din naman kahit konti lang boto mo! Hay naku, bakit kasi ganyan mga kabataan ngayon? Kahit mga kaklase ko ngayon sa college puro bad influenced kaya loner ako sa school para iwasan sila at di ako mahawa sa kanila! Bihira na kasi ang matitinong tao ngayon! 😐 I hate life! Bakit kasi may mga taong pangit ang ugali?! :((
