Update 2011: All I can do is laugh whenever I get across this post. Things have changed since 2009 and Globe has become much more stable.
Davao City, Philippines – I’m currently blogging from the living room just like I always do. But there’s much difference from today’s article and the former. My Internet Connection sucks very much right now and major websites like Google, Yahoo, and even Plurk are inaccessible for me. It always shows either a DNS Error, a tcp_error (time out) or whatever error (which doesn’t really matters for as long as I know that there is an error).
Globe Broadband has always been a nice internet service provider. A hidden falsified statement that I uttered many times before, until this very moment when my patience got stretched to its limit. If it’s not a problem with the router, then it’s with the internet connection itself, if not then there’s a problem with globe. I knew it, that I just could not access the internet a month worry free from problems and issues like this!
Is it time to finally switch away from the Globe Broadband Internet Service Provider? But where should I switch to? The others ain’t be that good either, don’t you think?
Some of my friends had complaints on Globelines because of those DNS errors and not able to get into certain websites that they used to visit when they were in another ISP. Another friend of mine has two ISPs -> Globe and PLDT he just switches between the two to visit sites or play online games but we don’t really have that much of a benefit to have two ISPs now do we.
I hope that your pc is not suffering from any viruses or malwares. I also have the same problem that reccurs just after the connection is fixed. The worst of it is that, I get the slowest of my internet connection in a day. Try to call 171, the Globelines hotline and try to make a complaint regarding your problem.

Since we signed our 1Mbps Globe Broadband deal, I always played ikariam. The connection seemed good. I would regularly do speed tests and results agree with what the contract would suggest. But after a month, we often get tcp_errors. Then I can't use some websites anymore including my hard-earned ikariam account. =( I did one speed test that told us that we are not even getting 47% of the provider's (Globe) average. I tried everything from boosting my internet speed to giving up but nothing changed.

Currently, my Globe internet connection is disconnecting every 10 minutes or so, it’s gotten annoying, and it started happening on April 4, 2008.
I suspected it was a virus but after I scanned at least 3 times of my trust-worthy Anti-Virus, only Cookie Trackers were found, and deleted them right after.
Anyone who would try to find any possible solutions?

Naka homebased work ako, dn kailangan ko mag connect sa server namin sa office, the problem is the connection is really ON and OFF. Hindi talaga maganda ang service ng GLOBE. Nakaka stress talaga. Mauubos ang oras ko kakahintay para mg reconnect. HOY Globe, mahiya naman kayo sa service nyo. Ang kakapal nyo.

Had always a good way to market but their srvices is poor I wonder why the NTC always renew thier license In our area CEBU. They always say that they are currently in system restoration and they had been doing it for a year.WHY CANT THE NTC Revoke there license.There reason is not reasonable anymore “system restoration”.

Globe Broadband sucks.. I’ve been using it for almost three months but it never satisfies me. The connection is on and off. I always complain on there office. They tell me they will do the trouble shooting but they never did. We’re paying the exact amount written on our bill.So please. Do the service very well.

Same here guys!Actually we have this Business account somewhere in Banilad and it is really BULL XX! I just hope someday their subscribers will not plant a bomb in their office for them to explode together with their undying apologies, mailing to their shit support groups, and pretty liar customer reps.. They keep on giving us the false reassurance which really does not make sense at all!!!!

Hmm..At first I was really satisfied with globe connections,so satisfied to the point that I’d even advertise Globe to my friends and colleagues to switch to globe.But just recently, I experienced the connection speed slower. I even tried the speedtest.net to further monitor my internet connection. The results were below the average of ISP speed. I really don’t understand how internet and stuff works,because,by profession,I am a Registered nurse.
I hope someone can shed some light regarding this matter and on how to resolve or rather, return back the normal internet speed. Because even accessing friendster takes such long time that it became such pain in the gluteus.
Ive tried calling for Globe service,but that’s the problem, they always say “yes,we will check and see if we can do things for you” but it always end up the same.

The same with me, ganun din nung una mganda sobra sakto talaga sa binabayaran kasi mabilis. tapos bigla nalang bumagal 4 months lang ata ako nag enjoy sa full benefits nila eh. tapos nun yung bumagyo putol lahat ng main line nila 1 month uli kaming nawalan. tapos binabayaran parin namin yun ah. after that sa december nag palit ako ng os kasi andami nang crash file sa windows xp ko eh na akala ko dahilan ng mabagal na net namin sinubukan ko yung win 7 kasi maganda naman lahat yung mga written reveiw nya.. yun pala yung mga loko-lokong taga globe ang dahilan. halos 1/8 na lang nung kinuha kong program ang napapakinabangan kong speed biro mo yun? wala man lang sa 1/4?!! ilang beses na nga kaming nag rereklamo eh wala parin. kaya mag papa disconnect nlang ako after 1 year kasi yun yung nasa program eh.. I highly recomend you guys mag PLDT nlang kayo "I OBSERVE will", talagang strict sila when it come sa internet problems kahit may bagyo di ka aabutin ng tatlong araw maayos na. mas mabilis pa silang mag ayos kisa linya ng kuryente…

The problem is your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
it’s possible the your modem/router may be experiencing some “lag”; try powercycling it, just pull out the power plug at the back, leave it out for 15secs, then plug it back in. or it can be that your browser’s cache is full. try deleting the cookies and all the offline files, click on >tools >internet options >delete files >delete cookies. as for the result on the speedtest, the advertised speeds would tell you that it reaches “up to” certain speed. it means this is just burst speed- the maximum your speed plan reaches and not the average.
IF your not a globe user that's possible.. but for GLOBE user no method could solve your internet problem but there just a single solution. switch to PLDT it's the country leading ISP EVEN the foriegn company will recomend it.. try it now
It’s not the router or computer, it’s the GLOBE!!! Don’t pay your bill they cannot blame you try to make an evidence like videos showing that your connection is to slow. GLOBE SUCKS

they'll cut the internet service for about 1-3 weeks! and they give you some denomination for the inconvenience let's say it's around Php100.00.

Globe Broadband really really SUCKS!!!My connection was lost starting from Saturday (April 24,2009) morning until now. I called their hotline 171 and they said that they were in system restoration in my area blah! blah! blah! but until now I don’t have a connection. So my uncle told me to visit my aunt because their PC has no antivirus so I went to my aunt and installed a anti virus. During that time, I noticed that they have a internet connection which is the same as mine. I wonder my aunt has a internet connection that day while we are in the same area.
P.S. Globe broadband is very fast in the first 1 – 3 days but in the succeeding days the speed really sucks!!!

Globe broadband sucks its so amf i got lost of my internet connection in April 23,2009 i cannot play my favorite online game that is ran online and my time is wasted cuz in weekends ran online has x4 exp event so that ur character will level up very fast. I called the globe hotline 171 they always said that they have a sysmtem restoration in mindanao and visayas and my area has affected. When i request to have a technician fix my internet connection or watch my pc and check up if the problem is on my pc but they said they will not allow cuz there technician is fixing and having the system restoration..hmmpp what a drag that sucks and its been 4 days that i have no internet connection and my area is on Leyte.
Until now I still don't have an internet… T_T

globe palaging may problema,palagi nalang mag system restore, ang pangit talaga, dito sa amin sa ormoc halos walang internet, 2000 pa ang monthly namin, wlang hiya talaga ang globe.
hope may bayantel and pldt sa leyte para mawala na ang globe, globe pwede cguro pang personal lang, pero sa business patay ka! kawawa ka lang, kaya kayo wag kayo mag globe,. okey ra sa celphone pro pag internet walang hiya talaga, palagi may bills, service wala!
bayan dsl and pldt dsl isn’t all that great either. so don’t get yer hopes up if and whenever you wanna switch isp’s.

For more than a week Globe is unable to fix my internet connection at home, the same with my fellow agents and friends near in our area and I think ALL wired connections has the same problem in Davao.
Globe is very incompetent and uses “System Restoration” as an Alibi – woot D Fakkk! They uses that alibi more than a month, I was there at their office filing a report regarding with their service and after a month still uses the same alibi? I ain’t no noob when it comes to a problem like this.

Globe.they market there broadband like hot cake when you subcribe to them they give you a year of lock on so you will even pay even if there no connection at all.my internet here in cebu is crampy and most of the time no connection. my advice to GLOBE broadband user keep on complaining and complain to NTC. I’ve been calling Globe hotline for over a hundred times in just 3 months just after our broadband connection was installed. At first surfing seemed faster and connection just got even reachable. But weeks after I have experienced intermittent connections and a lot of network failures such as tcp error and server error. Only to find out, my pc is suffering from bastard viruses and malwares. I just get my pc newly reprogrammed and everything got back in shape. Youtube, the site I frequent regularly slows the playback of videos. Of course, I worried. I reached the customer service hotline of Globe immediately and make the most out of calls 5 times a day. As I got pissed off, I let the pc do its own way. I did not use the pc for a week and surprisingly as I returned using my pc, I got the best connection I ever experienced. Right now, I have another problem regarding my internet connection and hoping to be solves as much as possible.
Crap I was happy a week ago but now the Speed got slower!
I had an average downloading speed of 100Kb/s last week now
its 20Kb/s!

And I have to restart the modem every 2 hours!

the speed is good feb, march, & april. but when they start capping non-HTTP request at the start of this month (may), dang, it fell off the chart. even games like SpecialForce (mygames.ph) won’t work (or at least they do if you wait).

Ive talked to one of their contractor and secretly told me that the cabinet that theyre using is the most cheapest internet cabinet around. Its like im riding a taxi on a Gemini Model Car. “TUBONG LUGAW” LOL!!!
He also told me that if I want my net to be fixed, I should transfer to the cabinet they called “DLC Cabinet”

I think our complaints with Globe Broadband is like a David yelling at Goliath. Who we are to them? They are big business that never care for their customer. Even you raise up this with NTC, DTI, etc. Believe me you will never get justice. I want to share my sucking experience with this liar service.
I have my 3MBps Globe Broadband since 2006. Within the locking period, their service is very good, I got the promised 60% of burst speed, no disconnection. But after my account was out of the locking period, I had these several shocking problems with them.
July 2008 to October 2008 – the connection is totally messed up. I called them many times and they promised to send a technician to check but from the day I called them and every time I followed up. Nobody showed up to fix my problem. I’m not living in a remote area, I live in Makati and there’s no point that this issue will not be resolved ASAP. But yet, I had my connection unavailable in 3 months and the billing is keep on coming in my mailbox.
November 2008 to January 2009 – I have LINK signal in my modem but I wasn’t able to get authenticated via PPoE. The problem of “STALLED SESSION” was identified January 26th.
February 2009 to April 2009 – My PPoE account has been changed by some stupid technician and there was I. Getting only 300KBps connection instead of 1.8MBps (min for 3MBps burst speed). And I have to yell the billing department over and over again that I should be getting every a rebate for every seconds I get these poor speeds.
April 29, 2009 to present – my connection is again disconnected. I called up like 10x to get my issue resolved. But the people in their Inefficient Call Center, keeps on giving me the same script as I’m not working as a network engineer in a call center that doesn’t know their alibi’s. To tell you frankly, everytime, I went to office, I saw their sub-con technical support InnoCompTech roaming on the busy streets of my baranggay and still no one cares to look at my issue. I just dont know if the people in Globe technical dispatch team, know the words, “priority”, “this account is being paid by the company I work for to get my own job done”, “service level agreement”, etc.
I know some of you think that I’m stupid staying with this freaking Internet service. I have a pending application with their rival but sadly, there is no available data port yet in my area. I just dont want an over the air internet connection like SmartBro, etc. They are worst than a fixed line.
I avail of the Globe broadband 3g wireless….

and when i try to download a file…
my download speed is on 2.5kbps!!!up to 25kbps!

with my previous experience on dial-up i have reached 50kbps on downloads. and it only drops on a 40kbps…
now i’m stuck with globe for 1yr. contract

I am here in Cebu. I subscribe to Globelines Broadband thinking that a #2 service provider will always try to make a better service than #1. My belief did not work with globe.
Same… on my 1st week (May,2009), i got 1.2 Mbps Dwnload and 378 Kbps Upload. the modem status showed 2024 kbps dL and 512 kbps uL.
Now, the speedtest.net and speakeasy.net/speedtest are consistenly showing around 800/280 for the past two weeks. Modemm status showed 1020/734 bandwidth.
Sometime end of May or 1st week of June, i noticed the degradation of my bandwidth. After checking the bottleneck with a series of test and “pangungulit” the Tech Support, inamin din me problem ang Globe network towards the internet. The link of subscriber to Globe network is ok.
One more thing, alma ko binago ni globe ang setting para mabasan ang pagrereklamo ni Globe boreddband subscribers tungkol sa CAPPING of bandwidth for P2P pero hindi ko na alam kung binalik uli nila ang 20% CAPPING. Hindi kaya binalik na nila?
Globeline Customer Service Hotline Center agents I encountered have difficulty listening to us. Perhaps they are getting callous of hearing the same complains. Another symptoms.
I have a suggestion. startin August 21 for the next two months, wag kaya nating bayaran ang bill. sabay sabay sana para ramdam naman nila.

Hindi ko na babayaran unang bill namin putangina talaga, babalik nalang ako sa PLDT putangina talaga ng Globe hindi ako makagamit ng maayos!

GLOBE internet connection sucks…. your people told us that we are getting good and faster connection since we are just few feet away from your so called tower…but its not..sobrang bagal talaga…its like 48 yrs bago ka maka connect….like everytime we boot up our pc it takes 30mins to 1 hr before we can get online….sucks!!! its like dial up…..at first its quite ok but few weeks after its like happening almost everyday…..we tried several times to run ur application (globefix) but it wont help… i dont get its error message as well” keeps on telling us to use DHCP instead of STATIc….WTF.we are using DHCP…..i did wall out and even tried to unplug all the cables and do powercycle but still its not online,,,we are paying our bill on the right date or time but please sana provide us with better service…we are calling your customer service tas the same reason lang sasabihin samin,,,,,system restoration…. grbeh naman yan,…..
walang kwenta din modem nu….all lights are solid including internet light….it has a valid IP but not online……. tried to ping…. 1 reply and 75% loss….. sana naman ull provide good service towards ur customer kasi kami naman ung kawawa di kayo….. sana din pag walang connection sana may rebate kasi lugi na kami xado…
been using globe since april 2009 and until now instead na mag improve ang service lalo ata nag grabe super unlimited na kunsimisyon ang inabot ko last month my internet connection was not available for 7 days then nung nagkaroon na ganun parin on and off ang internet then yung phone naman ang nawala after ko i settle ang acct ko sa kanila lalo naging pangit ang service. I’ve been calling their customer service minsan wala naman sumasagot and most of the time super tagal bago ka sagutin then nung last na call ko sarcastically nag pa calm na ako kasi kahit naman pag mumurahin mo sila wala din magagawa. Im looking for a group na mag co complain sa service ng globe pede kaya tayo mag complain either sa NTC or DTI im not gona pay my bills anymore kasi ibabalik ko sa kanila ang kunsumisyon na inabot ko beside kulang pa nga dahil nagka high blood talaga ako sa DSL nila yung rebate na sinasabi naman nila barya naman yun hindi worth sa inconveniece na inaabot nating mga subscribers. Globe Broadband is very big mistake! maganda lang yan sa commercial at sa mga matatamis na pnanalita ng mga sales agents nila…pagnakabitan ka na jan na magsisimula ang kalbaryo ng mundo mo….every 3-5 minutes putol ang connection, every 2-3 weeks walang connection for 3-5 days….puta ina maganda ba yan serbisyo na yan? yan ba sinasabi nilang maganda at mabilis…mga manloloko, mga sinungaling…wag na wag kayong magpapaloko at magpapakabit ng Globe Broadband…Globe Broadband is avery big big mistake!!!!! believe it or not! bulok sa pinakabulok ang serbisyo ng globe!

Ive been with globe for 8 months with plan 512 wireless w/ landlne ever since it was installed I never experienced the 512 kbps im paying, now the speed ranges from no connection to a high speed of 10 kbps. Wrong move to install a plan from a money grabing company like globe.

Since 2004 pa kami globe broadband user. Dati hindi ganun ka grabe and paputol-putol ng internet connection nila. When i called the customer service for 3 days may action na. Last month August 23 nang mawalan kami ng dial tone sa phone at internet connection, I thought may system restoration sa area namin. When i called them wala naman problema. Dumating ang 1 week, 2 weeks always namin tinatawagan sila they always saying na ginagawa na ng mga technician nila hanggang sa mag 3 weeks wala parin kaming internet. Ok lang kung pang residence lang po ang kaso kasi sa business ko ito ginagamit. Yes you made it right ito ang broadband na gamit ko sa internet shop ko. pinatay nila ang business ko dahil sa bagal ng action ng GLOBE BROADBAND. Sana naman mga GLOBE BROADBAND EMPLOYEE pay attention dito sa mga client nyo. BIGYAN NYO NAMIN KAMI NG MAGANDANG SERBISYO . Kaya nga pang business ang kinuha namin sainyo PAKI PRIORITY NAMAN KAMI, DAHIL NEGOSYO NAMIN ANG PINAPATAY NYO.

Sheesh! I've been a Globe Broadband subscriber since they were offering the old packages that offer 384Kbps. They were good during their early years as DSL providers. But last August 2009 our connection stopped. I called 171 and said they would have a tech come over. They replaced our modem dahil we were using an old Modem the Speedtouch 380, Yung usb modem na mukhang Mouse. It was good since they replaced it. But I've had it when Ondoy struck. Naputol connection Sept. 27, 2009. I assumed baka dahil doon yun. However, a week has passed and they kept saying they're restoring connections. Restoring my arse. Sabi nila Luzon subscribers. Bakit meron dito pati sa Mindanao. I have friends in Makati and Cainta they loss connection pero mas nauna pa sila sa akin magkaroon. Stupid 3rd rate network admins. During the typhoon. Smart Bro lang daw meron.

I am tired of calling 171 0r 173 or 410 8888. We have been our bills for internet for 3 months now but there is no internet in school. We can't download memo from DepEd central office due to failure to connect to internet. Its a waste of money and effort calling 171, 173 or 410 8888. I dialed all these numbers but to no avail. The answering machine will just say " sorry you have not availed of the specified time for your choice" I can't understand even if i pressed 2 right after the answering machine just said pressed 2 for internet connection problem but the only answer is that i havent pressed the appropriate numbr for the specified time. Globe Broadband has always been a very nice internet provider. That’s the reason why we allow this Globe agent to conduct demo on their newest promo internet connection which is the wimax 512kbps for 795php/month. The first reason why I filled up an application is that I had been falsified with his statement that this wimax is different with other internet connections since he/agent said that there is no year contract that anytime you like to disconnect there would be no disconnection payments. Couple of neighbors had applied to this wimax.
During the demo there is a higher signal and said that it would be lot faster connection if there is already the antenna connected. So we agreed to connect to wimax and fill up the application form. But then the application has been cancelled due to no signal found in our home because “may nakaharang dawn a building” I thought its wimax and no need line of sight , and that would make a big question since during the demo the internet connection is okay!.
The problem is they had installed a 3G Gateway instead of what we had applied a wimax without informing us about this. We complained it to the agent and he just told us that he had given us the wrong application form.
Please if you can replace our unit to wimax without disconnection payment since you agent had given a falsified statement regardless of the form we signed.

Simula nang masira ang globe nung Sunday (Nov. 14 '09, 9:00PM)at ma restore kinabukasan ng 5:00 PM, bumagal na sobra ung internet. Pabugso bugso ung speed nya at sa palagay ko parang 'patch' o temporary solution lang un ng globe para mabalik ang service nila. Ang bagal sobra, walang makapag online games, latency to globe business server in mandaluyong(?) umaabot ng 1k to 2k ung ping. Kelan ba maayos ito? Abutin na naman ba ng 1 month? Dapat may refund to dahil ang Globe broadband pinagmamalaki nila ung 60-80% bandwidth na kanilang inaadvertise. Sa quality of Service pa lang bagsak na, fluctuating ung latency. Kahit 3mbps or 5 mbps ka pa kung latency mo lampas 100. Bwiset na Globe.
Ano sabi ng CSR? "sir may problema po ung facility po nyo dyan sa area, monitor na lang po muna ung connection nyo." Nauna nga globe dito sa Imus, Cavite mas malimit naman downtime nila kumpara dun sa mga bagong ISP dito tulad ng PLDT. Abot na ba ng PLDT ang Pasong Buaya II?? Papakabit ako ng backup. Bad trip Globe. Reliability rating siguro nya nasa 85%…pero dapat 95%, un dapat industry standard…

Ako mag apply palang ng GLOBE, i submitted my application last October 6, 2009 and since ngaun la pa tumatawag sa akin para magkabit, almost 2 months na. Ayaw na ata nila madagdagan pa ang magcocomplain sa kanila. Buti nalang nabasa komga comments nyo… sa ibang ISP nalang ako papakabit.
hi guyz im a tech support myself in a telecom company. kaya ganyan ang globe ngaun dahil sa mga contractor at di maaus na proseso. that is my analysis. and kung me prob net nyo dont hesitate to call their hotline ur just wasting ur time contractor will fixed it but after a day or worst pag alis nila wala na kau koneksyon better you report this to ntc. their service is down due and problem is with their 3rd party globe employees and contractor or even engineering contractor din? hahaha. me mga lugar at linya lng talaga na swerte na di nagkakaroon ng problem. complain will do nothing agent will do nothing supervisors, manager will do nothing. it is just a problem of the filipinos kahit anung service minsan sablay talaga. . hindi lahat huh…

it is really a sad experience that with the blink of an eye, the service intermittently shuts down and calling their customer service will prove no help since there is a voice prompt saying that maintenance is on going and there is nothing that could be done but wait. really, really, really sad.

My bf experience the same problem..wala pang 1 month gus2 nya na pa disconnect and then papabayaran pa sa kanya yung bill.ni hindi nga sya na satisfied..Sinamahan ko sa cya sa globe center kasi nakakawalang gana kausap mga agent..paulit paulit dialogue..pero sinabi pa samin bago i disconnect magbayad muna at kapag di nagbayad it means eh patuloy pa din yung pagpapadala ng bills??

Marami po paraan pra ma hear ang mga boses nyo at mag act yung company immediately. Mag complaint po kayo sa any media like tv station or any newspaper company. Another way mag picket sa harap ng NTC with supporting massive numbers of complainants together with documents and evidence in black and white pra magising ang kinauukulan. Pag paisa isa kse ang complaint they regard this as isolated case.

haha!!! subscriber din ako nun plan 995 na yan na supposed to be 1 mbps "daw" kaso dahil nga "daw" wireless lang ang available sa area namin( dahil bagong tayo ang subdivision) eh 512 kbps lang pero pinatulan ko na rin dahil necessity ko as a student ang internet connection.. at first mejo satisfied naman ako kasi bago kami lumipat ng bahay eh nakasubscribe ako sa 512 kbps ng PLDT at halos di naman nagkakalayo DL/UL speed nila….. Pero after a month napansin ko parang bumabagal… Now, 7 months na akong connected with globe eto ang listahan ng mga nagawa ko dahil sa tuwa ko sa kanila:
1. makawasak ng optical mouse
2. makagawa ng puzzle na may 112 pieces pagkatapos kong ihampas ang keyboard sa harap ng nagmamagaling nilang tech. support.
3. alipustahin ang pagkatao ng mga CSR na nakakasagot ng tawag ko, 2 or 3 yata sa kanila eh dinakapagtimpi kaya proven na di recorded yung mga sinasabi nila…
4. after kong pikunin ng konti yung mamang nakakwelyo sa globe business centre, kamontik akong naging instant boxing sensation sa mall where it is located
5. gumawa ng napakakorny/worthless na comment na binabasa ng kung sino man di makontento na naglagay sa kahit na anong search engine ng 'globe broadband'…

globe broadband sucks. 4 months smooth sailing until december 18. my upload speed was down to ZERO. i can't even upload an 8kb file. when i report to them about the problem they always give me crap excuses. "SYSTEM RESTORATION" in your area blah blah. this is frustrating. i'm planning to switch to pldt. my cousin used it for 3years now and he doesn't have any major problems.

Ako apply pa lang masakit na ULO ko.. nag apply for instalation globe wireless BB plan ko is ung P795 512Kbps lang naman, sabi skin nung pinag applyan ko 10 days lang sir makabit na yan.., so inintay ko dumatng ang 10 days nag txt kakabit na daw, so ok masaya ko at kakabit na.. intay ako ng intay sa instalation team na dumating that day 5pm na wala pa rin bad trip na, so iniicp ko na di na darating..aba dumating 9pm mag intall na daw sila ikakabit na daw nila ung canopy anthena sa bubong..tas sabi pag akyat di daw nila makabit malau daw ung TV anthena ko sa room klo.. balik nalang daw sila at activate pa din dw nila ung sim nila sa parang modem nila naun somthnin sa madalit sabi wala ikinabit..eto panalo ang sabi skin sir gusto mokaw nalang mag kabit balik kami tom.,sabi ko wala prob kako siguraduhin nio balik kau tom at tatawag sa ibang bansa mother ko.. ok dw tom or other day.. hangang ngayun wala pa rin mag 1 month na..NAKAKABANAS! sana sabihin nila kung kelan talaga.. nag follow up na ko sa branch nila where dun ako nag apply pero wala mukhang gago lang ako dun.. ifa file daw nila reklamo..what that the hell still wala parin.very unprop. Wag na po kayo mag GLOBE especially yung Wimax nila. Over a month na po 50kbps dl speed lang binibigay nila sa akin tapos napaka unfair nila pagdating sa billing. Yung structures ng Customer Support di malaman kung talagang nag establish ng proper communication with one another, particularly yung sa help hotline at sa site technician.
Tsaka pansin ko lang po pag medyo di maganda pra sa kanila ang dating mo sa pakikipag usap over some customer support call agent sure po na basura na yang concern mo.
Wag po sana mangyari sa inyo ang na exprience ko right now. Pagpapakabit pa lang kayo ng internet sa ibang ISP na lng at wag na dyan sa Globe.

I am a PLDT MYDSL User for about 3 years with 1Mbps plan but when it comes to speed test, I got only 400 – 500 kbps but the browsing ang gaming is ok and sometime got dc 2 to 3 time a day but I don't have anychoice coz tha's the only available DSL here in our place until the Globe extend their Broadband services here in our place and they have a promo of 2Mbps for 1,295 so I decide to apply and after 5 days I got the Globelines and Broadband bundle. At first the connection was ok.. fast download, fast browsing and really satistfied with the connection. But after 1 week, I am experiencing the slow connection and there are time that I can't browse so I switch back to my PLDT DSL.
On my PLDT with 500kbps speedtest I got a download speed of 120-130kbps while in GLobe with 2.50 Mbps speedtest but has a 40-50kbps download.
SO I decided to put my PLDT as my main ISP and the Globe as my Backup when PLDT is down.

La naman problema sa net connection ko dito Globe Broadband eh…di naman napuputol yung internet signal, ang problema ko lang eh kung bakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet di maka log in ang YM ko, (problema parin). Globe, ano bah, 10 times nakong re install ng re-intall ng YM ver 10 ko same problem, TT.

im using globe broadband internet for weeks now and experiencing slow connection. its true it is slower than dial up connection. LOL speed test .14 – .30 mb/s internet speed when i applied for a 2 mbps connetion.
Im glad you have this blog so that it only proves that GLOBE is doing false advertisement. They are trying to trick many people using media. They even have agency to promote for them sending field people to advertise and encourage household here to get globe service. But in truth they are providing wrong service.

Finally found the right place where lots of Globe complaints are expressed freely. I have globe 2mpbs with landline and the first month was ok but then they started upgrading (Kuno) and thats when it really sucked !
Another experience i had with globe was when a tech visited to fix my slow and intermittent connection problems. tech couldnt fix it and it was almost 5pm and he said he had to go and that he have other subscribers to attend to ( What a liar ) so he wants me to just say that it was fixed so they could close the job order what an ass ! I said i will never say that why would i say that if its not yet fixed! if i do that i will have to wait a few more days before they could send someone else back.
Another experience and a warning to all new subcribers , i have the 2mbps subscription and guess what , according to most of their agents on the phone , 60% up is a passing speed for their services, that would mean that if i have 2mbps and i run speedtest and i get 1.2mbps thats ok with them ? geeezzz thats almost half the speed i subscribed to. and thats how globe runs .. they smile at you when you first have globe installed then after that they show their evil faces while collecting with strict overdue rules. LMAO

Surprise surprise! Hey Guys what would you say if i told you that after all these time GLOBE have the same problem and much worse… It started last july 10 2010 when i lost my connection to the internet and i learned after a while that its not only me who have that problem but after 24 hours all my friends from our area started to get back on their connection while i didnt until now july 21. Its been eleven days now and still no connection and i was calling their hotline almost everyday and they always told me to monitor my connection for 24 hours and their technical support team will call or inform me. But i didnt received any feedbacks. GLOBE really sucks!!! Also their customer service reps who doesnt know their work…

My latest encounter getting my connection fixed. Called on tuesday morning Aug 10th 2010 reported no dsl signal, the call center employee apologized and told me their tech's would fix the problem as soon as possible.
Called Wed morning asked them when their tech's were gonna start working on my connection, The call center employee said a tech would come to my house sometime today Aug 11th. Waited all day no tech showed up.
Called the 211 tech support call center Thursday morning and told them no one came on wed, the call center employee apologized and said i would now have to wait 12 days for another on site visit.I informed the call center employee that i would cancel my account before i wait a total of 16 days for someone from globeline to start working on my connection and that's dependent on if they even show up this time as scheduled.
Decided to stop wasting my time with the Globeline technical support hot line and went down to the local office at 1pm. Talked to a rep about the problem and he made a phone call and told me a tech would come to my house. A repair team showed up about 4pm and checked the telephone pole outside and there was no signal which means the problem was between that pole and the facility box. The
tech informed me that they didn't have a key to open the box so they would tell some other tech's to check the box on Friday.
Woke up Friday morning and my connection has been finally fixed.
To recap
Tues – no attempt to fix my connection
Wed – no attempt to fix my connection and a no show on the on-site visit.
Thurday – Repair crew shows up at 4pm not prepared or equipped to fix a internet connection.
Friday – Connection restored at around 9am.
It took Globelines 4 days to fix a internet connection that could have been fixed in 15 minutes. I had to call numerous times which were a total waste of my time and had to go down to the local office in person to get them to start working on the problem.
As a customer paying for a service i find this level of service unacceptable and globelines needs major improvement in the way they service their existing accounts.
1. I don't need a call center employee to tell me their tech's will fix the reported problem when in fact no one is working on it.
2. When a on-site visit is scheduled it would be nice if someone showed up.
3. Reporting a no show from Globelines on-site visit the next day and informed that since the tech
did not show up i now have to wait another 12 days for the next available tech is just retarded.
4. When a repair crew goes to fix a connection problem they should be prepared and equipped such as having a key to open a box.
5. Globelines need to staff their tech support call center with people who are able to do more than and generate reports, they should beable to make a phone call and resolve problems instead of saying sorry our tech didn't show up but now you have to wait 12 more days for the next available tech.
6. I should not have to call numerous times to coordinate the repair efforts on my connection, I should not have to make a on-site visit to the local Globelines office in order to get a 15 minute repair job done. If i had not done these things Globelines technical support hot line employee's would have me waiting an additional 12 days on top of the 4 days i had already waited for another on-site visit that they may not show up for again.
I would hope who ever is in charge at Globelines takes the time to improve the response to reported problems someday as the process that Globelines currently employs appears dysfunctional and broken in it's current state.
Update…
Thought it was fixed on friday morning but turns out even tho i can now connect to the internet i am getting around 30% of the speed i am supposed to get. My 3mb dsl connection wont speed test faster than 0.7 – 0.8.
When i first got it hooked up i speed tested the line and got 3.2 to 3.4.
Called Globelines about it and was informed of a area wide network problem and was told the internet was down in my area. I informed them that i could connect but it was less than 1mb download speed.
They said a tech would look into it, Saturday afternoon a tech shows up and tries a different modem which made no difference and then left. While he was here he said there was a major upgrade going on somewhere.
Getting problems now where i can't connect to most sites like google, yahoo, etc…Still connecting to some sites tho.
Sunday morning, can't connect to most sites altho i can connect to some.
Called repair people again. They said they will try and send someone out later today.
Sunday afternoon and i can connect to most sites but still only getting 30% of the speed.

First report problems to Globelines on Tuesday Aug 10, 2010 its now Sunday Aug 15th and still not fixed.
Globelines has alot of excuses but i really can't understand why a major telecom like Globelines needs weeks to fix a internet connection.

Had my connection with globe last may 2010. 5 days after I sent a complain regarding their bad service, they me same thing with what I read here, they are having ongoing upgrade, they told me that it will be ok within a month, then afer a month, the problem bcoms worst, hilig nila mag script. dapat mag gawa nlang kayo ng radio drama. galing nyo..
last week try change ng tech nila ang modem, galing ng tech nila…di pa rin gumana internet ko…sa galing ng tech nila na inis kasi di nya ma email yung screenshots ng gateway status nila…yan ang Globe.

My problems and frustrations about this Globe Broadband (im using wimax)
1. nung pagka install ng modem at nung pagka alis ng technical may disconnection errors na KAGAD sa games ko.
2. after 5 days, naging madalas na ang dc errors.
after 10 days, halos kalahati na sa maayos na laro mo ay may kasamang dc
after 15 days, ngayon bihira na lang pag hindi ka madc
3. Ang hirap makaconnect sa chat assist nilang puta. Pero pag sa kapitbahay ko ang bilis.
3. Gago ung CS nila mga tarantado. Pabago bago ang sinasabi. Una monitor mo lang daw ung net kahit binanggit mo ng lumalala habang tumatagal. Pangalwa may tatawag daw technical. Pangatlo may tarantadong magsasabi na kelangan kang nasa installation address para sa troubleshooting. Pang apat sasabihin na wala na daw trouble shooting na ggawin since may network issue daw ung area nyo.
4. Gago ung Saleslady ng putanginang globe na yan. Sa dami ng ISP na nakilala ko at nagamit ko, aware na aware ako pag mag aaply ako kaya ang inapply namin ng ate ko ung trial period nila. Kahit namention ko sa saleslady na "mam pag d nmin magustuhan yan pwede naming bitawan after 1 month d ba?" oo raw. parang gago oo lang ng oo yun pala nautakan na kami. Confident na confident ako na kahit walang kwenta ung inaplyan ko eh mahihinto ko naman dahil trial lang, yun pala naka lock in period na kami ng isang taon!!!!
5. BOBO UNG CS NILA MGA BOBO! Nung first week palang ng august, may topak na ung internet ko. Pinagpipilitan nila na yung Network issue na nangyari noong august 28 ang may kasalanan kung bakit naddc ako sa laro. Antayin ko na lang daw itong maayos para maaayos din ung dc ko. MGA PUTANGINANG BOBO ILANG ULIT KO NG SINABI NA AUGUST 5 PA LANG EH NADDC NA AKO KAYA ANONG KINALAMAN NG NETWORK ISSUE NILA NA NANGYARI SA AUGUST 28!!! TALAGANG PINAGPIPILITAN NILA KAHIT SABIHIN MONG "SIR WAG NAMAN PO TAYO MAGING BOBO!"
ang problema sa globe is ang mga personel.. pwede ko bah e reklamo ang davao branch?? lahat nang davao branch.. kasi bago lang ako nag pay nang bills sa globe and nag down daw ang internet.. then 1 week na ngayon wala parin ang internet ko.. di ako pinupuntahan nang technical.. mag change na ako nag pldt.. pero e boycot ko muna ang globe broadband ninyo sa youtube.. mga gago kayo..

Today i received my bill.Globe Broadband deducted only P58.41from my bill.is this how Globe Broadband computes for the 12 days of no connection and intermittent connection?
that letter was submitted 26 august.their technician came 2 days later (28 august, 4pm).Not just that, by august 30-31, i got no internet connection again.

really, it was good by the first month but actually i'm just a new subscriber for globe broadband, 3 months to be exact but after a month and a half my speed was halved and even the download speed is so low.

1mbps yung subscription ko pero they gave me only about 300kbps,i call them at ang sabi nila nasa list daw nila ako na laging nagda download kaya daw humina ang internet connection ko and they added that kong pwede hinaan ko muna daw mag download para yung ibang subscriber hindi mag ka problema…that’s why i pay almost 1000 pesos a month para malakas yung connection ko pakatapos hinaan ko daw ang paggamit????pwede ba yun???wala kwenta ang globe talaga pag nakikita nila na nagda download ka they adjust your connection para sa ganun hindi kana maka pag download…pambihira talaga to ang GLOBE…until now wala parin nangyayari sa problema ko…

my comment is a little different from what is being talked about here but in a way its kinda the same.
my big problem is with the customer service i have an issue with them regarding a promo i signed up for my connection was installed 21st november 2010 it is a 2mb connection with phone service we are also paying 350 pesos a month for the first 3 months for the wireless router and after 21 days of the install date we should be getting the free samsung champ.
so here is the problem we was due to get our free samsung phone 21 days after install date but as you can guess it never arrived so we contacted customer service and the way they handle the call was a joke and it seems to me that they dont have a clue of what they are doing getting placed on hold for sometimes upto 20 minutes while they are looking into the matter more like they on a bloody coffee break then finaly someone comes back to me a different person so again have to give out all my account info all over again and also explain the issue ok sir i get i will file a report and someone will get back to me within 12 hours did someone get back to me within 12 hours no and when i finaly get someone to give me a strate answer they tell me my account is still pending an investigation because the store who taken my app messed up.
just before xmas i had gone to the store to speak to someone in person she had said to me by looking at her screen the account is still pending but the phone will be delivered within 21days as you can imagine i was kinda pissed off went back to the store the next day and spoke to the same person strange thing is she told me it will be 5days but because of the new year holiday i had to wait until 3rd of jan 2011 but hay still dont have it and its now the 6th of jan.
i have never known a service provider and customer service that sucks as much as globe i have also sent a email of complaint to globe head office and also to the lady in the store informing them they need to take action to deal with this issue or i will be ripping out the phone and wireless router and dumping it on the customer service desk at the store i signed up and tell them to stick the service up ones A$$.
so as anyone else on here had the same issues of not getting what was promised..
on a much better note the internet connection i have has been working really well since it was installed and seems to be running at full speed i do want to ask the ones who has had internet connection issues have you tried using another modem/router not from globe reason i ask a friend had connection issues using the prolink wireless router he replaced it with a non globe modem/router and never had any issues after that.
anyways i have rambled on long enough and i hope that you guys manage to get your issues fixed

LATEST UPDATE OF MY INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEM…..
Until now the problem is still the same , the contractual tech told us that we need a static connection and not dynamic to get a stable connection and static is different because you have your own server which is direct to you, your on port and you dont share your connection with anyone else and your IP address change every time you turn off your computer ,so you dont get turn ON and OF cause your connection is direct to the main port server ,but problem is ,it's only given to business not for residential subscriber ,our problem is progressing ,not only we don't have internet connection at 6 in the evening but our phone line has other problems as well, we don't hear the ring anymore if somebody call's us ,my parents sometimes feel upset with me cause she think im avoiding them but the truth is we dont know that they call us cause we dont hear the phone ring this really sucks it creates more problems now making family's mad at each other.
To explain to you the dynamic and static ..the IP of dynamic change everytime you turn ON your modem while the static… your IP stays the same and you dont have any problem getting dc or taken offline in the middle of your work,that's what they said and the tech even other people from other country that static is really good ,but i dont know if it is good here we all know that company's here don't buy branded electronic equipment or or brand new ,who know's there junction box must be made in china and second hand that why it keeps on breaking ,this company's are getting richer from our hard earn money and there not providing the consumer what they are paying for ..There ad doesn't say that there connection will turn ON and OFF during pick hours,nothing written also on there ads that the more subscriber the less bites will come to us consumers,they did not say also that we will get rebate in case our internet connection goes down or get's turn off ,you will have to request for that if you get those kinds of problem. and also they have a 1 year lock end period which is really crazy ,cause if you want to terminate your contract with them ,you will have to pay the remaining months that you will not use anymore if you did not reach the 1 year contract because of the bad connection's that you have.The NTC should take actions on this kind of false advertisements , and GLOBE should rebate us automatically everytime there system is down.

Whatever issue/s Globe Telecom is hurdling now it’s killing its subscribers and I’m one of them.
A telephone that I cannot even use normally, first, no incoming & outgoing call for more than 2 weeks and this time around the line gets cut-off during conversation in less than 3 minutes.
Blogs in the internet maybe correct that this Globe Telecom is not doing what is best for all its subscribers all they are after is the monthly subscription fee in return to their very poor service. No wonder their not maintaining a correct number of patrons because of their incompetencies.
And now, I’m calling on you people of the National Telecommunications Commission to please act on this matter with utmost concern for the benefit of the consumers.

hala ka, nagdedecide pa naman ako magapply sa globe worst din pala, smartbro kasi ako ngayon at ganto din ang nararanasan ko after a few months ang connection ko becomes slower gaya ng nararanasan nyo, hummm saan kaya ako papaling wala din kasi connection ng pldt sa amin malayo na main box daw sabi ng pldt, salamat nalang din pala at nabasa ko ang mga comments nyo tungkol sa globe…… kundi isa rin akong nagmumura ngayon hehehe. parang kabado din kasia ko dyan sa globe eh, i remember b4 kasagsagan ng internet connection that was 1997 bago palang sa amin ang internet at bagong labas ng globe ang nakuha ko with phone, grabi ang problem ko araw araw talga tumatawag ako sa hotline customer services nila dahil sa very poor ang connection halos murahin ko na din ang mga empleyado sa globe,, hangang sa naasar ako tinigil ko nalang tinapon ko ang unit tapos ung cable nila ginawa ko sampayan hehehe

twice already i quit globe for its POOR (and that's an understatement) service. with no other option from my current location, i had no choice but take globe on again. ah, i should have known better. wouldn't u know, d connection stopped after just a few mins their technicians/installers left. seems globe has gotten worse instead of better thru d years. what a pity we filipinos haven't much choice when it comes to internet service providers.

Globe is the worst I have experienced during my world wide travel. living in many countries. We have 2 Globe lines (a 1 and a 3 Mb/sec line) , one in the main house and one in nthe neighboring house, both of which I am using, choosing whatever line is better. But to no avail. Both are absoluteley horrible with the transmission on/off for the last six months it has getting so bad that we want to cancel the contract. Their technicians coming here is a useless exercise. They exchange your modems (4 times in one month on one line alone) to no effect.
The problem appears to be (and most evidence points to that) that Globe is heavily over-subscribed. That means they take our hard earned Pesos and provide us with no 'goods exchange', that means there is no merchandize (in this case data stream) in return. It is actually cheating and is usually done to polish the profit (cheating the people). Save all costs for expansion of bandwidth and just take the money from the people as there is not much alternative anyway.
I have tried the G3 stick from Globe, Smart and from Sun. All of them suck so badly, that I do not know how to properly state it here. They are also so over-subscribed that the data occassionally flows nicely, but most of the time there is no traffic. I have been monitoring that and kept the records (I have proof!). I suggest people to quit the service if they can. I heard that PLDT is good, wherever they area available. Unfortunately they are not where we are living.
I bought a globe broad band believing that it has the most powerful connections. I am just wondering and a bit frustrated. Everytime that i register a pre-paid load of SUPERSURF 220 & 50 and SURFTXT 60 i experienced as always..difficulty in registering! worst..what i know that it is an unlimited browing time from the time of its registration up to its expiry time..but, you will never enjoy it! it has a limit of 800mb per day and you will have to wait for another day to continue your browsing time!..so frustrating!
the promo should be good on a continueous browsing and surfing time without any limitations up to its expiry..then why is it like that? I should have listened to some advices to use another broadband instead of globe!
From registering a load for its unlimited promo and the supposed unlimited browsing is not really good and instead will give you a lot of difficulty using its services. Advertising certain services must be truthful!
Can globe do something about it? can they help their customers on this whirpool problems? Remeber that we believed in what you have advertised..then here i am facing a lot of abstacles just for using this services!
Please attend to this consternation and immediately find solutions to your customers predicament..your customers are your business.

write them a letter stating their inability to solve the signal problem, and force them to give you a letter signed by them to release you from the contract waiving you from paying termination fees, because the problem is theirs already. hope this helps.

I am living hre in Manila for about a decade already and I wish to go back home to Davao. I browse sites searching for a nice ISP in davao. Thanks to this blog now I know Globe isnt really that good. But to their credit, here in Manila, Globe Broadband is the best. I have used it before and they really provide excellent service and of course great internet speed. I just had to change to Sky Internet @ 15mbps.
Anyway, I hope you guys can tell me which among the ISP's are the best in Davao.

This is an update to my previous post here! my last post was about our bad connections which is dynamic and now we have a static connection which everyone say's ,it's better cause you have your own IP add and you dont have to share it with other ,static IP is exclusive to business and i was able to get it because of so many complaints that i made and phone calls that i cannot count anymore, day and night i call there customer service and talking to there supervisor was the only way you will get the right answer,it took us like 4 months of waiting but all of the tech said that getting a static connection is not a guarantee that you will have a stable connection ,and it's true…no wonder it took them 4 months to give us a static connection cause now we know it worst than a dynamic connection ,you get offline very often and it has some restriction with other websites that you want to open..i can open those site before i switch static ,STATIC is supposed to be better than dynamic as far s i know and everybody knows static is good connection,but it's a lie ,it's the worst ever ,we tried all types of connection from GLOBE but nothing works…This company is making profit from LYING and FALSE advertising ,i don't know why the NTSC that's supposed to handle this kind of problem is not doing anything to revoke there license …to sell this kind of is product in the market or put this kind of business in the market is a riff off from us consumers and why is it nobody is doing anything with it to make this company do what they are supposed to do and comply with what they have advertise ,There only good on advertising and promoting it all over the country but there internet service even there phone sucks…This needs to end POLITICIAN should act and cure this problem.We the subscriber should stop paying them until they come up with solid solution to fix this kind of problem and this goes to other internet provider ,they just keep accepting more and more subscriber ,until there junction box is overloaded and they just gonna keep you billing and threatened you with there lawyer if you don't pay your bill's ,that's so unfair to us consumers .Just 2 day's ago a tech came to our place and told us that the reason why we have an on and off connection is that we are too far away from the junction box. ,that if you are more that 100 meters away from the junction box ,chances are you will have a fluctuation either you get dynamic or static IP address you will still have a problem and getting a 5 to 10 mb is not a solution to the problem,your just paying more with the same connection that other consumers have FLUCTUATION and ON and OFF problem ,every complains you make GLOBE all way's have a reasons to give,and we the subscriber will never win this battle unless a senator or any politician suffers the same like we are going through now .This needs to be fix and this needs to be stop. Hi my globe tattoo prepaid usb stick cannot register to any other globe promo services because of the free125 internet hours that has not been renewed i have already used up all the internet hours and now when i am registering to supersurf it says i am already registered and the hard part about it right before i was using it just 3 days right when i was downloading a file the internet stopped and it says something that it's something like your globe tattoo has exceeded the amount of data downloaded and right about that i was stunned because when i texted BAL125 to 8888 it says i have like thousands of minutes remaining and when i downloaded a file it all stops and banishes i am just informing because there are tonnes of people having this problem and im one of them please solve my problem i need your service a lot I MEAN A LOT..

I am a globe broadband user. Sometimes, may problem ako sa connection but mas malala ang smart broadband. During bad weather wala siyang connection. That is why I stick to globe na lang.. 🙂

Walang araw na lagi akong may connection or kya very slow ang internet ko, using speedtest yung 3mb ko laging 250kb yak naman masyado na kyang nangdadaya ang Globe na yan. Dto sa Cavite wala kaming magawa ksi Globe ang ang tanging provider kung mayroon lang iba, di na sana ako nagtititiis ng ganito. Kya kyo mga reader mag-isip muna kyo bago nyo kunin ang Globe. Napakawalang twenta!!!!!

galing ng globe broadband.. biruin mo mgbabayad ka ng tama tapus napakbagal ng connection tapos almost 2 months nang walang internet download manager.. nag internet kpa dka din nman mkapag download db.. kexo sa kanila ang prob… since when pa ..? anyway., may knakabit nang linya ng smart dito sa lugar namin.., mukhang malapit nang masolve ang problema ko sa globe..
bulok ang globe.. pano nmn kxe almost 3 weeks na kming halos walang connection.. every time na tatawag kami sa hotline sasabihin na report na.. lagi nalang… tapos kapag pumunta kmi sa globe center sabihin nagawan na ng report.. tawagan nalang ang hotline for follow up.. anu bayan.. ginagawa nio namn kaming tanga.. wala bang AKSYON JAN.. kung ipapatangal na namin ang internet dapat wala nang charcge dahil d nm n namin nagagamit ung binabayaran namin.. kakasama ng loob.. d nmn kmi satisfy sa service nio tapos sisingil kau ng malaki pag pinatangal namin??Asa naman kayo.. amg mga nagkakabit pa ng signal nagmamadali.. d man lang inaus ung signal bago umalis basta nalang nagpapirma.. at kami pa ang minamadali.. pagsabihan nio nga mga staff nio.. d na nakakatuwa… bulok ang internet nio
i don’t know what happened here….the tech guy has already reset almost everything yet on the evening the connection drops to less than 1/4 of the prescribe subscription…call hot line nobody can answer …just make a report for an on site visit… problem same again in the evening…my plan is 2mps 1299 business line pa yan ha …after exchanging as last option since brand new naman ang router provided i will be force to ask my static ip…after that if problems not solve pa iwan ko na …ok naman ang ibang account ko walang internet speed slow down
Warning to others. Globe Broadband Philippines offer 1 Mbps,
2 Mbps etc. So we opted for the 2 Mbps.
(Suckers) they installed it last Tuesday and it was showing a 500 Kbps
download. They said; give it 24 hours to stabilize (LOL) to 2 Mbps. anyway
after over 24 hours still no 2 Mbps in fact sometimes 100-200 kbps only. We
contacted them told them we want 2 Mbps within 48 hours or how money back and
take it out and was told they would send a tech along. So along he came and
he’s mate. They checked the speed found it to be 500 Kbps they left saying they
were going to throw a switch after 30 min they returning saying they throw the
wrong switch and it will go to 2Mbps at midnight. (LOL) so after 2 hours they
left. We found out later they had deleted a lan card driver and other files
from my computer. So next day we looked forward to the fast 2 Mbps (Suckers)
still no 2 Mbps only 500kbps max. We gave them notice that if it was not 2
Mbps, which we had ordered after 48 hours they were to take it out. So after
six days still no 2 Mbps. So we rang them and told them to take it out and
refund how deposit. They then announced that we are locked in for 12 months and
they will send a tech again. We don’t want 500 kbps and mostly don’t want to
pay for something we have never had. What do you think?
Did you try Speedtest.net? It’s a bit tricky, you don’t get 2MB download per se, but with a 2MB connection you should get around 200kbps downloads.
My Sun Wireless Broadband sim is said to reach around 4MB (average around 2mb to 3mb on speedtest.net though), and thus I receive around 300kb/s to 400kb/s downloads during off-peak hours (midnight to early morning) and around 50kb/s – 150kb/s during regular hours.
those a**holes are just full of sh*t! All they care is that they get their hands into cold cash! Same here. To be honest, I can troubleshoot much better than their technicians! just gimme the mac add, ip, etc and i can do it on my own, Without the help from their dumb technicians. Sorry for the harsh words. LOL

2018 and nothing really ever changes in the Philippines, Big talk about fiber optic internet connections but only in politician rich sub divisions. Any idea when other cities will get fiber ? No but check back from time to time is the answer from Globelines facebook page. Nothing ever changes because these telco’s are owned by foreigners who take 90% of the profits for themselves and take out loans for any expansion that the customers get to pay for. Cash cows for the owners is all they are.
