UEFA Champions League titleholders FC Bayern Munich will travel to England to face Manchester City for their second group game. The German giants have only won one game in England in their last 6 attempts and hope to make their second win in 7 with this UEFA Champions League group outing.
Bayern Munich have yet to lose a game this season in all competitions, with the Freiburg draw in the Bundesliga as the only game to blemish their perfect record. Since the said incident, Munich has won all games to-date, including the Europa Super Cup win over Europa League winners and last year’s UEFA Champions League champions Chelsea FC.
The hosts, Manchester City on the other hand are looking to bounce back from a 3-2 loss away to Aston Villa last September 28. City, however, are still feeding off the momentum that they got with their 4-1 home win against rivals Manchester United not too long ago.
Bayern Munich lost in Manchester
The Bavarians may have won their last outing in England against Arsenal London during their last Champions League campaign yet coincidentally Bayern Munich have also experienced defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last season as well. That game however, had little bearing to Bayern’s group standing and Munich pretty much fielded a second string squad.
This game will be quite different from that one though. A lot is at stake, pride, points and more.
Bayern Munich to take home 3 points in Manchester City
Pinoy Teens believes that the German Record Champions will take home 3 points from the Etihad after tonight. Bayern Munich just seems too strong for Manchester City. Even though Bayern seemed a bit complacent in recent games, I expect them to pull off a good win away in this Champions League group stage outing.
