It’s been an terrific Saturday Showcase of the UAAP once again, featuring the sweet revenge of UE over De La Salle University as the main event (second game).
Both teams bagged 5 wins and a single loss, both against the Blue Eagles. And today, the difference amongst the Warriors and Archers has been spelled. Being dumped by the Green Archers in the UAAP 70 finals, the sweet revenge came along just this very afternoon, with an exceptional performance of all players, specially Martinez who shot 6/7 from the 3pt mark.
The Big Dome was filled with mixed emotions of both sides. The UE tribe cheering on their team as they start the late spark in the 3rd quarter with back to back 3points courtesy of Martinez. Whilst the Green Archers kept their voice high during the fourth as they went for an straight 8-0 run, which still was not enough to make and break the game of UE.
That said, with UE taking advantage over the Archers to attain the solo-lead as of this moment, I can say that all Ateneans spread over the Archipelago (including me) are very pleased with the result. Yet, the heat is on again for the Ateneans in tomorrows showdown, and that against the highly competitive UST Growling Tigers.
Will Chris Tiu finally make that golden basket which he failed to score against the Tamaraws? Or shall Buenafe make and break a good performance tomorrow? Well, that’s just another story that we’re going to witness on the Sunday Showdown.
did the blue eagles lose to tamaraws last thursday? i didn’t have a chance to watch it kasi even look up in newspapers
@diane camille – yes, they lost in that DIRTY GAME of FEU
UE has two losses. One against FEU and the other against the Blue Eagles.
UE actually has 3 losses. The third is from Adamson.
And ADMU does not have solo lead. They share it with FEU. FEU is actually on top of ADMU by virtue of the “winner over the other” rule.
UE did their best super! I watch it in araneta today and i cheer up for red warriors because of the powerful 3pts shot of james martinez! UE do their best because all of us profs and students in caloocan and manila support them and it’s a gratitude for them! ANIMO UE!
Thanks for your active participation and attentive reading. We’re just people who only watch AdMU and La Salle Related Games. LOL
The fight in FEU is still under protest but I will watch the next game of UE vs ADMU. ANIMO RED and WHITE. PAMANTASAN ng SILANGAN!
hmmm…. it was a well fought battle despite the lost of 3 DLSU players. they managed to cut down the lead. and i don’t think it’s REDEMPTION for UE coz, just the same thing… they may win now, but who knows what will happen in the 2nd round and further… remember guys what happend last year? 14 – 2! 🙂 to all DLSU fans, they’re now selling the highlights of the Season 70 UAAP “from suspension to champions” video. it features the ADMU-DLSU game too. grab a copy and let’s REPEAT THE ANIMO FEAT! still, ANIMO LA SALLE! 🙂
