Classes in both the Private and Public sector have been suspended in Compostela Valley on Thursday and Friday in preparation for Typhoon Yolanda with the international codename of Super Typhoon Haiyan.
In our most recent update, we pointed out that Typhoon Yolanda is set to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this morning. PAGASA estimated it at around 7AM to be exact. With this recent news headline and update advisory that was posted on TV Patrol Southern Mindanao’s Facebook Page, the threat seems to be more grave than first expected for people in the Compostela Valley region.
Typhoon Yolanda shuts classes in ComVal and Davao del Norte
Not only have the classes been suspended in Compostela Valley, but in Davao del Norte as well.
Even though the said Super Typhoon’s trajectory is expected to ram right through Central Visayas, people of Northern Mindanao should be alert as well and take all precautionary measures in preparation for the Typhoon’s landfall that is expected to take place on Friday.
