Following the heavy rainfall brought upon our fellow Filipinos in Luzon due to the Habagat comes yet another batch of rain via Tropical Storm Helen (Kai-tak is Helen’s international codename)
Tropical Storm Helen has gotten stronger overnight and is closing in to Northern Luzon.
The least consoling thought about Tropical Storm Helen is, that the areas heavily flooded during the torrential rainfall last week are not going to experience the full threat of Tropical Storm Helen (Kai-tak). It’s mostly Northern Luzon that has to brace itself for an engagement with Helen in the coming days.
The following public storm warnings have been raised over the following provinces:
Public storm warning #2:
(61-100 km/h winds expected within 24 hours)
Public storm warning #1:
(30-60 km/h winds expected within 24 hours)
- Nueva Vizcaya
- Mt. Province
- Ilocos Norte
- Babuyan & Calayan Group of Islands
As Helen passes through the Northern part of our Country, we are expected to experience cloudy days ahead with possibilities of thunderstorms in most part of of Luzon and Visays, and Northern Mindanao as well.
