Jacqueline “Jacque” Bermejo made an official statement to clean up her name following a dose of bashing from Filipino Media and Bloggers across sites and social networks.
First things first, I don’t care if you’re gonna flame me for what I have said on my other post about the women said to be Jacqueline Bermejo. I stand my words for very good reasons, and I think that the many of Facebook Users agree with my stand. What wonders me about this issue most is why there would be anyone who would hack her account, and why a person would want to put this kind of bad light upon her. And why all this had to happen right here, now during this crisis the Philippines is experiencing.
The Filipino Netizen are divided about their thoughts on this issue. A minority of (fools) netizens believe her to be innocent, while the majority made their statement clear that she is found guilty for such immoral act.
Back to the real thing now, Jacqueline Bermejo has made her official statement where she noted that her account was hacked. But like I asked a couple of times over and over above, why would some person care to hack this ordinary OFW? It is obvious that she has no other way out of this but make this excuse.
In a post that I read at some site it says there that her account was hacked a couple of years ago, another person used her personal information, her pictures, and everything on Facebook. Well, okay, if that’s so, I don’t really care, but what makes me wonder is, why she hasn’t done a thing about it, doesn’t that wonder you too? If someone really possessed that said account years back, she could’ve asked the account to be removed, but no, she has let it be until now. Or could this be just a huge story that Bermejo has made up to defend herself?
Okay, I might have been a bit too harsh with my words at times in the other post, but I think that you can understand how I feel now, how the thousands feel right now. The little statement has made big waves all over social networking sites, media, newspaper, etc, and there looks like to be no end. Well, I’m not surprised to see people reacting about it. Sino bang hindi magagalit?
If it’s really not Jacqueline Bermejo then, well, I’ve got nothing to say anymore. Lastly, before we start believing in her, think. Think just like people defending her advised us to think thoroughly about this issue. It sounds despicable each time I hear people talk about this defending her, saying that her account was hacked. Because I can’t think of any reason someone would do this. Especially to her. And I can’t think of any reason why she wasn’t able to manipulate the account as soon as possible when she knew someone impersonated her.
very well said… nice one…
to add to what u’ve said… if she’s going to present an excuse she better have a evidence to back up her statement… her so called report to the dubai police perhaps.. and 1 thing.. if she’s been hacked last year why does the hacker decided to make a post like that after a year? her statement just brought up so many questions.. questions that need some answers…
jacqueline, your comment is uncalled for.we dont even treat you as a filipino. take a hike'.
hmm minority and majority? I wonder where you get your statistics? How can you say minority and majority of netizens? Do you actually know how many netizens there are? Perhaps a simple restructuring of your sentence will make your blogpost more credible. Can`t think any reason why any person would e hacked or trolled? geez wake up boy! One does not need to be famous to be hacked! There are just many malevolent minds out there with too much time in their hands. (Notice though that I am not saying that I am for or against Jacque Bermejo). I am against judging a person without any hard evidence. And I am wondering why people would believe a couple of insensitive comments over an official interview backed by the police and a reputable company? oh well, just shows that people have different frames of mind, not to mention, sizes.
If that's so, what about answering the question:
Why would someone hack her, why would someone do that to her account. Hey, if someone is a genius in hacking, I bet they can speak English WELL. Statistics are based on the JB Innocent and Guilty groups on Facebook which have sizes of 600 and 6000 members respectively as of yesterday.
well then kindly say, minority/majority of "those who reacted" and not "netizens". To answer your question– have you ever thought that no matter how kind a person is, when someone really hates her (whether she did good or bad) is motive enough to do something like hacking or trolling her account?
You bet if someone is "genius" in hacking", you bet "they can speak English well"? hahahaha! who ever said that computer programming needs good basic English grammar? can you bet too that the Japanese geniuses who created all those computer programming advances are necessarily good in English? I bet you will lose the bet.
Kampi ka yata sakanya? Tinira pa ang pagsulat ko? Hehe.Well, people DO have different frames of mind.
Hindi iho. pero kung iyan ang nasa isip mo e bahala ka. Kung ayaw mong tumanggap ng constructive criticism e bahala ka. Di naman ako namimilit e.
I do accept it, and I appreciate it, I just got a bit carried away, because if I wouldn't accept it I would disapprove these kinds of comments.
Kudos to you! You have a bright future ahead and I hope you will be one of the open-minded, and responsible journalists/writers/bloggers that the Philippines can be proud of! (you might want to check out these sites for additional facts and info— http://www.casaprestige.ae/key.html

–and check for the difference between hacked and trolled accounts. I for one don`t know how to hack but I can definitely make a trolled account and I can even use your name. Ang rason? wala lang trip ko lang. That`s how easy it is.(but of course, I won`t).But then again, who knows? right? LOL!
A lot of news are backing up her "I am innocent" move. But I still don't believe in them. There are still a few questions left unanswered, and you know that. Some see it from this angle, others from another like the two of us. If it really wasn't Jacqueline Bermejo, she will come to understand the rudeness of the Philippine Netizens, sino bang hindi magagalit about this? Of course, at times, we overdo too.
There are some people (probably including me) who are full about media and their reputable representatives, we can't deny the fact na hindi pang-movie lamang ang mga pangyayaring pag-"brainwash" o manipulate ng media sa mga tao. Madali lang talaga paniwalaan ang masama kesa positibong pangyayari, we can't deny that.
Para bang kung may kabutihan kang ginawa, di ka pansinin, pag may mali kang ginawa sayo lahat nakatingin.
I see her not guilty. I don't know why. I saw the report. She looks not guilty. I tell you. People can create fake accounts for someone. It ain't need to be a celebrity or someone big. But look at Jacque Bermejo, she is a marketing executive. Maybe there is someone who wants her reputation in the company destroyed. I ask you. If you are the one who was hacked, or trolled, what would you do? Do you think. People will believe your excuses? like Jacque did? What will you feel? I once hacked someones account and did something bad for that account. I have destroyed his face in the planet. It was for revenge. Do you think it could happen for Jacque?
The fact na meron gustong siraan cya, meaning she is not a good person kasi marami galit sa kanya!
oh and this was just uploaded. [youtube YHRiz5c00Nc

I for one is also a victim of identity theft here in the Philippines via Friendster. Somebody came up with an account and uploaded my pics on the profile and placed my cellphone numbers on the shout out with some flirty lines. My point for saying this is let us not judge anybody just by what we have read on the internet. People with anger and envy can do things beyond our imagination. People believe what they want to believe. At the end of the day, it will only be between God and the person behind all this.
I for one is a victim of identity theft in the Philippines via Friendster. Somebody came up with a Friendster account with my name on it, uploaded my picture on the profile and even posted my cellphone numbers together with some flirty lines. I don't personally know Ms. Bermejo but the reason why i am saying this is because it is possible that she is innocent. Let us not judge a person just by what we have read on the internet. People who are full of anger and envy in their lives can go out of their way just to ruin a person's life. In this technology and age nothing is impossible anymore. People believe what they want to believe. At the end of the day, it will be just between God and the person behind all this.
ok .. for benefit of-the-doubt, lets say SHE WAS HACKED LAST YEAR.. so, yeah I agree with Kevin, why after a year.. does make one wonder right? and thus, after the rumored SHOUTOUT which was rained by TONS of comments, the HACKER even reply after 3hours right? COOL. HACKER-san wanted to be SURELY involve in DOOMING Jacqueline huh..
And again, the Hack issue is true.. TOO BAD for her. And for the one who HACKED, that person is also a FILIPINO. Regardless, it's saddening to know your own KABABAYAN think (even in his/her right conscience) something like Posing a REALLY PATHETIC, INSENSITIVE and TOTALLY DESPICABLE note like that! (~_~)
Well, I do agree that hackers can really do wonder with the computer to the extent of stealing your identity. What I just don’t understand (same with one of the question of the author of this blog) is why didn’t she stopped or reported the said hacking or stealing of her identity to facebook. How hard would it be to email facebook or report that said account is fraudulent or hacked. Maybe, the bottom line of this is her irresponsible action of not doing what she was supposed to do. She could have stopped this yet she let it until this happened. Lesson learned bermejo. Sabi nga nila…WALANG NAAAPAKAN KUNG WALANG NAGPAPAAPAK. You should have done your part bermejo before it went out of control. From my standpoint, you are still guilty.
if you care to read the report from Dubai, and the interview with dindo amparo on youtube, she did report it, to the extent of reporting it to the police. just goes to show how malicious the hacker (but this time the identity thief) is. but it seems and I can only infer, that the hacker/thief is very persistent and perhaps really hold a very big grudge against her. She let it be, hoping the thief would stop but didnt and got only worse earning a great number of hate from a lot of her kababayan.
first off the written statement was written by someone else indirectly, and in the interview she spoke tagalog she didnt speak any english at all. have her speak a paragraph of english, then we'll see…
SHE IS GUILTY AS CHARGED! kung meron man naghacked ng facebook account nya para siraan cya it means she is not a good person,in short marami galit sa kanya dahil sa sama ng kangyang ugali!
why are we so heated up with this issue?
Why would somebody hack her account? Who knows! Possibly a jilted lover. Possibly someone who hates her. Someone who have malice towards her. There are a lot of possibilities. But whether her account was hacked or not is not important.
But why do we let these few words from someone so unimportant (its not like she is a famous personality like a celebrity or head of state) affect us so? Everyone have their own opinion and they have their right to them. Be it stupid or not. That’s freedom of speech for you. If she did posted that on facebook, it was for her immediate distribution list to view. So its none of our business.
Why are filipinos so quick to take offense over such things? Is this like the Claire Danes cockroach incident all over again? Will J.Bermejo be declared persona non grata? Can they take away her citizenship? Is this the Alec Baldwin incident? Where he just made a joke about getting a filipino wife over the internet? (which by the way can be done)
we should believe JBermejo that her FB account was hacked. I dont think any one in a sound state of mind will write such things. Whoever wrote those nasty thingsis a loser and just wanted to besmirch JB's name and reputation. There are hackers everywhere. My friend's YM account was hacked too. I was chatting with her thinking it was her then I called her up and she said she was not the one who chatted with me. The next time I saw that her user id was online i called my friend up 2 confirm if she's on line. She wasnt. I sent YM msgs to her account and cursed the one behind it. after a while he or she just logged off! You see people, these things cud happen to anyone. btw my friend didnt report it to the police or anything. so dont also blame JB if she didnt do anythingn about her account. she never thought that hacker loser will go to that extent.
Tae ka naman pala eh, over a year ago pa nahack ang account, and she just wasn't able to report it to Facebook? C'mon.
I agree with you. Her FB Account was hacked. And the Multiply account under her identity "starfishbuang" is not hers.
"The Filipino Netizen are divided about their thoughts on this issue. A minority of (fools) netizens believe her to be innocent, while the majority made their statement clear that she is found guilty for such immoral act."
– Statistics, please. Otherwise, this statement has no real basis whatsoever.
"If it’s really not Jacqueline Bermejo then, well, I’ve got nothing to say anymore."
– 'Cause all you do is just guessing is all.
"Because I can’t think of any reason someone would do this. Especially to her."
– Just because you can't think of any reason? Jesus.
I can't believe that a lot of people make dumb and uneducated comments on the internet. So what you see first is what you get? Shows how much Filipinos know about justice…
Things like that happens to people even if you're not a celebrity. We shouldn't judge her at once. Those who know her would really defend her for they know who she is…and those who doesn't know her would just depend on what they have read..now where's the justice there?
