The new Tropical Depression named by Zoraida has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and caused Storm Signals to be raised in Mindanao.
Following the devastating havoc that Super Typhoon Yolanda left behind in Visayas comes yet another one. As it stands at the moment, Zoraida is a Tropical Depression only. It has, however, caused Storm Signals to be raised in various places in Mindanao.
Tropical Depression Zoraida enters PAR
The Philippine weather bureau has placed the following areas under public storm signal number 1:
– Dinagat Island
– Siargao Island
– Agusan del Norte
– Agusan del Sur
– Davao del Norte
– Surigao del Sur
– Davao Oriental
Zoraida, being a Tropical Depression only, is by far not as powerful as Super Typhon Haiyan was last week. One thing that could leave some worry for people in affected areas is the fact that Tropical Depression Zoraida carries a lot of rain with it and heavy rainfall remains to be expected wherever it passes by.
