Pinoy Teens Rep heading for Manila today!
November 13, 2009
I’m so excited for one of our members, actually our head administrator right now. Because he, Kevin Paquet will be heading to Manila this morning at around 10AM via Cebu Pacific, which will be followed by his flight to Kuala Lumpur a day after at 4PM from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 via Malaysia Airlines.
Kevin will be our representative to the Youth Engagement Summit 2009 in Kuala Lumpur which is sponsored by the South East Asian Youth for Change Movement that has been talked about the past month and a half, or even more.
Pinoy Teens Online has been a Youth Partner to the Summit for over a month and has been partly taking actions in taking care of the Facebook account and helped spreading the word to more and more youths within our city of origin and elsewhere. Aside from the pre-Summit events, Pinoy Teens beholds its commitment to continue support and contribute to the SEA Change Movement by hosting events within Davao City as Kevin along with his doings has already claimed recognition from the city when he stepped into the Sanggunian–asking for financial aid of any kind. He is set to receive an award from the City Councilors upon his return to Davao City and probable support from the SK for events that may be launched after the YES2009.
Happy 18th Birthday Kevin Paquet!
June 12, 2009
Don’t be so snobby, please great me by leaving a comment below. It’s my birthday EC Users, ReadersFriends and plurk mates! Hope to hear from you!
Oh yes, how insane, I’m greeting myself a happy birthday, my birthday is just a couple of hours away, but I’m really excited about how many people are going to greet me for this birthday of mine
Let’s see if there are a few who care to at least say Happy Birthday and visit to leave a comment here once in a while, if not a life time. No, don’t spoil me yet, it’s still good two hours away but it isn’t bad to have a post about my birthday out already, don’t you think the same way too?
Growing older on the net, too
Anyways, this gotta be my 18th birthday, about a year and a quarter since I entered the online world with nothing in my hands and here I am, having almost everything that I ever wanted to achieve on the internet, but the last thing that I really want to own is/are your greetings. Haha. Please be so kind to leave a comment below and say hi, hello to the other readers of this blog.
So once again, there you go, Happy 18th Birthday Kevin Paquet (it really sounds odd greeting myself, somehow).
For those who have been asking when and where the Birthday Party is going to be held, I’m sorry but I have to disappoint you that there won’t be any part this week, but it will be moved to another date because I’ll be pretty busy tomorrow with other things.
Let’s say, I don’t have the financial capabilities yet to host my own birthday and invite my friends around here, but I sure loved to if some Plurkers and fellow bloggers would come on the 20th which is the set date for the delayed party of my 18th year on earth, see you all soon!
Our Top Ten Most Influential Blogs & Bloggers
May 22, 2009
Finally. After all the talks, discussions and debate. We’re here with our list of influential bloggers and blogs not only based on their blogs content and competitiveness to their respective niche, but also the blogger’s background itself like age, and achievement. Other factors also affected our list of Influential Blogs which includes personal favoritism for those who we personally, who might not have excelled yet, but might do so with great confidence. Our list is a little bias, and contains entries from younger bloggers, since we are a teenage, but make no mistake, these young followers are and will be influential during their journey through the blogoshpere.
SEOWRIGHT.COM – As a blogger of this blog, I assume that I am eligible to vote for Kevin Paquet and his blog, SEOWRIGHT.COM. It contains information for new bloggers and even older bloggers about Adsense, and tips to increase your readership, have a successful blog and more. It contains lots of information already that other blogs do not possess (from a teenage stand point) with dozens of entries. It made us think especially, when Kevin published his post in regards to a little adsense guide for new bloggers.
SUGARDROP.NET – She’s young, pretty and talented, Aika was one of the lucky winners who got a domain name from us and turned their small blog, into a nicely well rounded blog that takes on various topics aside from her personal life. She started touching us when she continued boosting our morale and confidence with her words, and influenced us to do better and better.
SHAI.VANITYYYLOVE.COM – The formerly known Gifted Princess knows how to design and write too. Also one of our old followings who has touched our lives with their inspirational words that kept our morale sky high and made us blog the best we can at times, she talks about her life and in a sense of some authority.
KELVINONIAN.COM – It is not usual for a blogger of his age to maintain a clean clutter free website whilst still holding on to specific topics and niches. He achieved what we failed to, that is to communicate and socialize with other bloggers that might read more of his blog and his disciplined content. In soon time we believe that he will be blogging and talking with high authority in his respective fields.
PINAYADS.COM - She is the oldest on our list, though surely not the less competitive. Blogging as a female is “often” seen to be the underdog, but the way she manages her blog that we are voting for and the other websites, she’s surely one very outstanding female writer and therefore deserves to be recognized being influential, especially to the feminine bloggers in the local and global sphere of the online world.
BUNSOIMAGAZINE.COM – Kevin’s fellow Ateneo de Davao Student is surely one big blogger to be, from BlogSpot, to WordPress and now hitting 500 marks and above daily, BunsoiMagazine got to be one of the most visited blogs in soon time, and the author, Patrik one very influential blogger who has taken along wise words from Kevin and Lyle Santos’ suggestions to make the most out of WordPress.
CITADELSEITOUKAI.NET – Another Davao Blogger who has made his presence felt during the Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton Fight by helping out readers of ours with their problems regarding the SopCast player. His kindness is incomparable and he blogs from a very innocent point of view and doesn’t thinks about money unlike lots of others do. A humble personality that runs this blog should always be looked forward to.
TARAII.CO.CC – The blog of Kevin’s best friend, at times, she struggles at times she succeeds, that is her, Iway. Blogging about her life and touching the people around her by responding valuable and rich comments, not asking for comments in return but by just leaving one that makes every blogger happy, and thus, influences them that way.
We still have two vacant slots open and the above listed are subject to change. If you think you know a cool blog AND blogger, let us know and leave a comment; if you feel that you should be up on that list, leave feedbacks below that suggests why you should be one of our influential bloggers.
If you need more information about the Influential Blogger, you can visit the writing project page. And if you are lacking of blogs to vote for, you might consider Kevin Paquet’s SEOWRIGHT.COM and read some reasons why you should do so.
And this has been Princess Kaye Quin with the Top 10 Most Influential Blogs and Blogger for 2009 from the Pinoy Teens Online point of view.
Who is your INFLUENTIAL BLOGGER?
May 21, 2009
Yesterday, the 20th of May was a busy day for us from the Pinoy Teens HQ. We, the blogging trio Joseph, yours truly and Kevin Paquet spent some time together to seek ways how we could make our presence felt for the Influential Blogger 2009 Writing Project, and had no better option but have our seowright.com compete with the other established websites on the internet. We’d love to recommend you to vote for Pinoy Teens as one of your influential blogs which is powered by the blogging maestro Kevin, but since Pinoy Teens was founded in March 2008, we’re not eligible to be voted for, for this years contest; but blogs that have been created from May 2008 and onwards.
Kevin has been talking about that website and that annual writing project a couple of times already, letting us know how bad he would love to become a influential writer to other’s eyes. He said that he’d love to be one of those bloggers recognized as influential in whatever means possible. We told him to relax, reflect and look back at the path he has crossed. The transition he made from being a forum administrator to years ago of a forum with a 20 member capacity database to a websites that is at present entertaining 2,000 visitors daily for year 2009’s average.
We asked Kevin to recall the achievements he has done so far, reaching PR4 even if it didn’t lasted that long, surpassing 1,000 Feedburner Subscribers (it is bugged today May 21, ‘09 and shows 16 subscribers only), earning 350 US Dollar one Day in Adsense, having a traffic peak of 61,000 and a most popular post with over 800 of comments in a matter of days. That should be something, something a seventeen year old Student Blogger should be pleased about. But still, Kevin oversees all his achievements and milestones in his life. We asked, what about the Software Freedom Day at the University of Mindanao where you tackled WordPress as the leading Free and Open Source Software for blogging? The Digital Filipino Club event when you came home with bright eyes saying “bes, we’re the tenth hottest blogs among the new blogs for 2008“? Or the Mindanao Bloggers Summit, the WordCamps that you have attended in Davao City and Saint Benilde; Manila? Still it seemed to be “nothing” really special to him. But being a influential blogger to the community.
He has been actively contributing to the WordPress community in his own simple and unique ways, he talks about WordPress, blogs about WordPress and wants all of his close friends to switch to WordPress for some very good reasons. But it isn’t only that; he carries the load of other people at times to help them with their blogs, we made him think about the time way back when he bought the domain sugardrop.net for one of his loyal readers who won at a contest, or his crush-reader who won giftedprincess.com the same month now, but a year back. And then he suddenly came to smile and realized that he has been influential somehow, but we just cannot feed his satisfaction.
Even when we made him recall people who were worried about his downtime about a year ago, or people who blogged about him and see “inspiration” in him. Not to forget the fact that there are professionals who praise him for his hard work that he has done so far.
Kevin always works from the heart when it comes to his blogs, and at times overdos things a lot, which often blends a darker image into his personality, but when you come to know him better and his online history you’ll realize that this young aspiring seventeen year old teen is seeking to be recognized for the little tasks that he has done that compile into a better status than he is right now. If you feel that Kevin is really a outstanding blogger and young writer for his age, then you could help him out by a very simple deed. And that is taking part in the Influential Blogger 2009 Writing Project and citing his newest product, seowright.com as one of the most influential blogs from your point of view.
A bit more in detail…
What he needs is that you will write a blog post, containing links and information about your ten most influential blogs and bloggers. Just ten, ten of all the many linkies that you have, list ten of them; and include his blog to help him. SEOWRIGHT.Com is his new project that he will be working on; content about blogging, seo, and everything related to his “quiet” successful attempt to storm the blogoshpere during the late months of 2008 will be showcased for everyone.
After you finished your post, you of course need to publish it and bring it live up on your blog. You need to link to the write up post and encourage your readers and other bloggers to vote their favorite bloggers, too. And probably leave a hawt tip to include our young Student Blogger Kevin as well, who’s really looking forward for your help. Read more on SEOWRIGHT.Com
Hope you could create a list of your influential bloggers/blogs and include the blog SEOWRIGHT.COM and encourage your friends to help vote for us. It’s enough with those adults to win prizes, we teenagers can achieve something too!

School Controversy
January 7, 2009
Head Administrator Kevin Paquet is entangled in a little problem right now in school. Not really from the educational point of view, but from a slight different one. I am not authorized to share much information about whatever problem Kevin has had encountered in school as I am only tasked to report to you, his readers of what is hindering him to blog right now.
As a spectator of all the things that have had happened to Kevin these recent twenty four hours, I believe that he is having a hard time figuring out what is right and what is wrong, whether the act that he has done a few weeks back, was good or not. What was that said incident? I may not kiss and tell anything straight regarding the issue being discussed by him and his Principal, but let me leave you a few clues to ponder upon.
Good Deeds this Christmas
December 24, 2008
I can say that I am pretty much proud of myself and the good things that I have done until this very Christmas season, and so far, all my effort has paid of very great, and I’ve received more than I have expected to receive. Although, not really the things that I want to receive. But still, let me share you some of these.
- My Tita has paid me three hundred pesos for fixing her computer, I feel like I could open up a business for Computer repairs if I could earn money this easily. The problem that my Tita experienced was actually just a click away to get fixed.
- I was able to help out a blogging friend to get fix few issues that he had with his theme.
- I was able to install a blog for a girl-friend (a friend who is a girl, not the other meaning of girl friend), who had quiet some difficulties getting started, and hey, was she happy when she noticed that I installed the latest version of WordPress which is WordPress 2.7
- I was able to help out a couple of people at both the WordPress.Com and WordPress.Org Support Forums.
- I fixed the CHMOD issue with Aika’s Server so that she can edit her theme templates per request
There are still a lot of other things that I have done for other people that are not in relation to computer and the world wide web, which Iwon’t list down here, since most of them are a few minor things, and I guess you don’t really want to get bored about that stuff? Hmm, now let’s see it from an other perspective, the fruits that I unexpectedly came to harvest from the good attitude that I have showed lately.
Featured Teen: Kevin Paquet
November 21, 2008
After all the screening conducted to get our featured teen feature back on track, I personally decided to have our head administrator Kevin Paquet as the
Featured Teen of the Moment due to a couple of reasons that make him an outstanding online personnel for his age.
But it’s not only his unflagging success through the world wide web that unfolds his true potential which a lot of people don’t see via his transparent personality at school, but his character in specific. Kevin Paquet is a good friend, a very good friend, one of the best best friends that someone could wish for, and it makes him a nice example for everyone.
“If a friend of mine commits a mistake, I let them know, if it’s a severe mistake, I charge them in a harsh way so that they can learn from it”, says Kevin. And adds “The funny thing about true friends is that they often see the negative characteristics of a person and emphasize these, but they do that for the best of intentions; for them to change”.
Kevin Paquet lives apart from both his Biological Mother and Father, [Read more]
Meeting Old Friends from Ateneo
November 17, 2008
Ateneo de Davao High School has been one of the very few institutions
that has made a quite bigger significant mark in my life than the other ordinary ones, like the PWC of Davao. And yet a while ago, I was able to reunite with some of those key people I met at Ateneo de Davao who made my stay there more comfortable and enjoyable.
I can’t deny the fact that I really hated Ateneo when I was in third year, but it was in the second, when I really started to like schooling, and High School to be specific. But let’s put those things aside and move to the little reunion that we had.
As usual, the casual victim of their Filipino Time tradition was non else but me. I was kept on the old for a couple of minutes waiting outside the National Bookstore at Gaisano Mall Davao, oh, did I forgot to mention that earlier, I walked all the way from the Mall down to Ateneo de Davao College only to know that they are already on their way to the Mall?
Well, I wasn’t that excited anymore to see their fat faces because of the
long waiting time. As we finally came together, the first thought that came up was, “if where our other buddies in the barkada was”, and clueless respond that we got was they were just unable to get in touch with the others. Everything changed dramatically from the happy go lucky food trip anywhere to a casual little chit chat at the food court on top of the Mall. Talking about a couple of past memories, like the Chicken Nuggets cooking at my place, the Mr Black Issue and other significant events that touched our lives way back.
But something that I really have noticed on one of them was their being chubby, both have gained weight, or should I say fats? Especially the one that I’ve kept teasing, which is Alex.
After our talk we went downstairs, to go to our next venue which was the Internet Cafe of Rex located near the AdDU College Campus, as expected, both Alex and Rex went on food trip, eating kwek kwek and some other chuva that I can’t name. Haha. And finally, we arrived at the Cafe only to talk outside the building and then go part ways.
Alex accompanied me to NCCC Mall, in the hope that she could get some freebies from my mom for dinner, but well we ended up sharing my meal. But, I really do wonder why my mother was at total rage that time.
Alex then eventually agreed to accompany me home. And my plan was clean and perfect, she fell for the Mr Almighty Prank, and I haven’t told her about the truth yet.
I’m too tired of summing up my day. But this is pretty much everything that I have done today, nothing blogging related, but hey, here’s a little shout out for those who are wondering who’s the latest blogger being gossiped about.
There’s this one blogger who has been faking his subscrber count enormously lately. I don’t know if this person stands as a good example for a Student Blogger. (4th Paragraph)
Another thing that I want to remind you of, is that there will be a couple of new sub blogs that will be created soon, so watch out for them.
Mabuhay! Buhay Kabataan!
November 8, 2008
In behalf of Kevin Paquet, who is very busy tweaking and editing and (sshhh) monetizing his new personal web space located at kevin.buhaykabataan.com, I would like to inform you (if you haven’t noticed it yet) that we are running on a new domain name, Buhay Kabataan.
It’s not that we have totally given up on Pinoy Teens, but let’s keep our hands away from it while it’s hot and while Google is indexing the posts and pages of BuhayKabataan.Com instead the old ones. Let’s hope and pray that we did everything right with our 301 Permalink tweak which is supposed to keep us away from Duplicate Content Penalty.
A from a regular reader’s point of view,
It seems that beside the total new restart from a new domain name, you guys are also looking for opportunities to make some extra money via the advertisements you placed on the blog. It doesn’t looks as user friendly as the primer, but it’s not annoying too.
Cool huh, a reader of ours has noticed the changes in terms of Advertisement that we have recently implemented again.
As you can see, Kevin Paquet won’t always be around with you to keep you updated with the latest stuff and issues, that’s why I’m here, and so is Joseph here as well to aid him in this move. But, it takes more than three heads to reconstruct what he has built over the months, and that vital instrument will be you, our valued readers.
As soon as we’ve got our personal sub domains up and running, we will create a community blog on one of the sub domains of buhaykabataan.com in which we allow all of you to write on, about certain topics that you feel interested in, which then will get published here on Buhay Kabataan after approval from our moderating team, consisting of Joseph Quin and him alone.
Do you feel that I bother you too much? Well, I feel that way too, that’s why let’s end this little follow up and introductory on what will be going on and what was going on the past days here.
My New Old Diary!
October 24, 2008
I neglected writing personal stuff on this website for some time now. But I’m back to start writing about me, my personal life as a Teenager, Blogger, Student or any other point of view that I might come to tackle. And here’s initial post for a little kick off.
I may have received much attention and recognition on the world wide web and in real life at this very moment, but deep inside, I’m still unsatisfied, I’m desperately seeking for a refuge, a shelter where I could escape to and let my torment out. A lot of issues cause me to infuriate. The usually advanced-in-class student whom my classmate came to know from the first quarter monthly test and examinations, who loves to share and entertain questions raised by them. Yet, time has changed and so have I changed. Dramatically.
I was pretty much fun of studying my lessons and posting a couple on my website which I planned to do so on regular basis, which I totally failed to do now. One of those factors could be entrecard, and the other one could be other personal issues that are taking a lot ofmy time and energy. But that’s another chapter that I’ll be tackling just in a few moments. I feel very dissapointed on my so-called “achievements” on the web and in class. Am I just expecting too much from myself and Pinoy Teens? Or is it just true that everything that I come to touch will turn into a mere disaster or failure?
Obviously, I’m the one who’s holding the life of myself but it seems like I’m handling it improperly and the good things turn to be the most evil things that I may encounter that could make my life miserable. My girlfriend, for example, who used to have a angelic character and never came to lie (according to my mind) has dissapointed me much, the time she has lied right into my face. How could that be possible? And how could I come to mend these scars left in my heart that she almost tear apart with the lie she had?
I know, a simple little lie is nothing, but this wasn’t the case. It wasn’t just a simple lie, it was a lie that I can’t easily forgive. Especially not for the second time around.
Everything is turning upside down, from a landslide victory and achievements accomplished, I’m here falling like a falling star, loosing all that I have had. Traffic, Comment Volume, Page Views, and time to blog. And I’m also on the stretch of loosing my loved one.
What else, unpleasant could still happen to me?
