Philippine Pride TnC Pro Team has surprised the world once more, taking down Vici Gaming Reborn in an extraordinary fashion, scorching the latter in their The International 2016 BO1 Lower Bracket First Round encounter.
TNC, despite a rather sloppy and rocky start, managed to take control of the game starting the mid-game and never looked back. Terrorblade literally terrorized and violated VGR’s lineup and it wasn’t long until they have called it a day and called it GG. Given this exceptional victory by TnC, the Filipino squad is set to at least triple their share from the prizepool.
The next series, which will be a BO3, will be played against 2 time Major (Frankfurt and Manila) winners OG. It will be extremely difficult for Tnc Pro Team to take down one of the best teams in the world. Having played OG earlier in the group stages though (and losing terribly 2-0 to them) may play as an advantage for TNC. Add to it the fact that OG has encountered a morale dropping 2-1 loss to another SEA squad, MVP Phoenix’ Axe + Phantom Assassin combo.
Should TNC manage to take down the Europeans after they have taken down the Chinese, it’ll be the biggest upset of the tournament. So, hey. Fingers crossed as TNC will get to live another day in Seattle! Good luck further indeed.
