Software Freedom Day 2011 – Ateneo de Davao

The Pinoy Teens Online / Philippine Teens Media is proud to present to you this years’ Software Freedom Day 2011 at the Ateneo de Davao University on September 17, Saturday.

I‘ll be accompanied by Georg Kevin to the Software Freedom Day event, which happens to be my first. On his behalf though, it’s going to be his 3rd SFD conference that he attends to and in which it’s also going to be his 3rd time to talk about the #1 Open Source Blogging and CMS, WordPress.

Aside Kevin’s exciting discussion about WordPress basics and beyond, there’ll be a dozen other geeks around to immerse us deeper into the realm of free and open source software (foss).

Some of the discussions that I’m looking forward to listen to include Getting Organized with qOrganizer which will be hosted by Jen Montebon, another talk that I’m excited about is the one to be given by Kenneth Porio (from UP Mindanao) with the focus on Free Software for News Organizations.
