MMFF entry Sisteraks from Star Cinema and Viva films is closing in on Philippines’ current highest grossing Filipino Movie, Praybeyt Benjamin from Viva Films.
Per Kris Aquino’s tweet last January 6, 2013, it’s safe to assume that Sisterakas is closing in on Praybeyt Benjamin, or if not, has already exceed the said movie by now.
“As of Jan 5 Sisterakas GRAND TOTAL: P320,112,364.28 Thank you for putting us on track to be the highest grossing Pinoy film of all time”
Praybeyt Benjamin earned a total of P330 million during its time. And given that Sisteraks is still showing in theaters all over the country, it means only one thing: Sisterakas is to become the highest grossing Pinoy movie of all time!
