Host nation Brazil went off with a winning start, beating Croatia 3-1 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup opener in Brazil. It wasn’t a walk in the park early on though, as the Brazilian national team had to come back and score from behind. Neymar, however contributed two goals to help Brazil cruise through to victory 3-1 against a competent Croatian squad.
Another team that went out there to win was Mexico, who managed to win 1-0 against Cameroon in a tightly contested encounter.
