Filipino Clean Energy Essay Contest

Filipino students who are currently enrolled in undergrad courses or a Master’s degree, ages 30 or under, are encouraged to participate in the Clean Energy Essay Contest.  The theme of the essay is “The Role of Youth: In Tackling the Challenges of the New Energy Future.” The essay should comprise of ideas concerning youth’s role in the campaign for a clean and eco friendly environment. CalEnergy, Manila Electric Company, TeaM Energy and Korea Electric Power Corporation are among the many endorsers of the contest who are searching for way of how to enhance the country’s development.  Winners of the contest will recieve cash prizes of P50,000 (1st place), P30,000 (2^nd place) and P20,000 (3^rd place). The grand winner is eligible to become nominated as a Youth Representative for an energy conference that will take place overseas. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2010.
