The Philippine representatives at ESL ONE Manila, Mineski has bowed out of the competition. After losing 2-0 behind close doors yesterday to an on-fire Team Liquid, Mineski looked to finish ESL ONE Manila without even a single win.
Heading into game 1, Mineski was clearly outplaying compLexity gaming but were unable to capitalize on their early game aggression and advantage. With that, Mineski lost the first game which should have gone their way, had they not been complacent and started becoming stagnant mid-game.
With their future in ESL ONE Manila on the line, Mineski pulled out a #YOLO effort with an Alchemist last pick. It was compLexity who pressed early on, completely shutting of Mineski’s Puck and thus delaying his Blink Dagger. Mineski even had to sacrifice a T1 and T2 just to ensure the farm of their Alchemist. And boy, did that pay off! well!
Once Alchemist had his Armlet and Radiance, Mineski pressed the issue and played as aggressive as possible, taking pick off after pick off and sieging compLexity all game long. Mineski won game 2 in convincing fashion which made the home crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena go wild.
The excitement and enthusiasm, however, didn’t last for too long, as compLexity’s Tiny + Wisp combo put the nail on the coffin, sending Mineski out of the competition, whilst compLexity will live for another fight against Wings Gaming later in the day.
