After monotonous weeks, months without the College Basketball Hype flashing on National Television, the most awaited, the most anticipated Collegiate Basketball Championship is back! The UAAP Season 72! With Ateneo de Manila University as the current title holders, the Blues uphold high expectations from their followers and truly carry more load than any other team right now especially with the absence of King Eagle Chris Tiu who has already graduated from the University.
Right after the four game sweep over Arch Rivals de La Salle (2 in the eliminations and 2 in the finals) the blues got demolished by the Green Archers during the follow up post season contest where they trailed by some number. Ateneo this year, also looks to have the most hectic season start with three though games following back to back against big names like the UST Growling Tigers, UE Red Warriors and the opening clash against the FEU Tamaraws. Whilst the Ateneo de Manila vs de La Salle clash is schedule as the last game of both rounds of the elimination.
