It’s been 10 years since the MDGs have been implemented by the United Nations yet majority of the Filipino community have not been exposed to the actions taken by many volunteers around the world to promote the goals. This circumstance is quite ironic, because the Filipino community has been praised for it’s active participation on informing its youth about their various social responsibilities and obligations. Among them are the different advocacies being implemented by international organizations. 

THE 8 UN MDG

The United Nations MDG is one of the most prominent changes made in the beginning of this millennium. Albeit that, it is a saddening fact that many Filipinos especially the youth are not aware of the changes they could make and the little contributions they could do to achieve the goals.

The Millennium Development Goals are eight international development goals that all 192 United Nations member states and at least 23 international organizations have agreed to achieve by the year 2015.

The MDG provide a framework for the entire international community to work together towards a common end – making sure that human development reaches everyone, everywhere.
