Apple had its special “all about iPods” Media Event last September 1, 2010 in San Francisco. They introduced three new, and I have to say amazing iPods to replace the present generation of Shuffle, Nano and Touch. Paired with all new iTunes 10 and PING a new music-related Social Network. As a bonus, a all new Apple TV for incredible 99$.

The All New iPod Touch

The biggest surprise among all has been the iPod Touch. Prices didn’t really decreased a lot, but what it had to offer, doubled, no, even tripled. 8 GB $229, 32 GB $299, 64 GB $399. A lot of new features and add-ons that many people would not have expected the iPod Touch to have, not anytime soon, which includes the following:

  • Retina Display
  • Apple A4 Chip
  • 3-Axis Gyro
  • iOS 4.1 with Game Center
  • FaceTime with front-facing  Camera
  • HD Video Recording with the rear-facing Camera
  • Even thinner design, that it all these featured packed into it!

It looks like I have got myself a reason to blog again to grab one of these by Christmas of this year. As present owner of a iPod Touch (3rd Gen), I have to say the newly released 4th Gen of the iPod Touch is indispensably good and worth the money. My iPod Touch has been the best buy that I made last year, and I’m looking forward to have another iPod Touch as the best buy by the end of 2010.

iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle updates

The iPod Nano placed at $149 for 8 GB, $179 for 16 GB with features like Multi-touch screen, clip, 46% smaller, 42% lighter, volume buttons, Nike+, pedometer, 24 hours of audio. Is from my point of view a little downgrade of the Nano we had last year which was able to do video recording. But this might just be the perfect iPod for the athletic music lover whilst boosting the sales of the all-rounder iPod Touch in the coming months for those who’d love to have the iPhone, without the phone and the expensive contract.

The iPod Shuffle placed at 49$ for 2GB now has buttons, VoiceOver, and playlists, rear clip. 15 hours of music, five different colors, $49 for 2 GB. A small but powerful asset to the line of iPods as we head into the Holidays Season in a few months. The Shuffle, due to its new form factor and additions won’t be less wanted than the other iPods for those who want to carry along their iTunes library!

New iTunes 10
Apple will roll out a new iTunes. iTunes 10 which introduce a new icon, new features like the music-oriented social network, Ping. But more about PING and the iTunes update in a later post when I’ll be able to grab that update and show it to you.

Let me leave you with this little post saying, the new iPod Touch is epic!
