The trip to the Aliwagwag Falls, situated in Barangay Aliwagwag, Cateel, Davao Oriental marks the first travel that the Pinoy Teens Duo, Georg Kevin Paquet and Semarfe Dela Cruz has ever been to. Rest assured that this is just the start of many more wonderful travels of these two.

We were so excited!

It’s the first time that we travel together, so we were really excited for this travel of ours!

Beautiful I.Ds for the event

These were the tags that we carried throughout the event at the Laag-laag sa Aliwagwag 2015.

When we first learned about the planned trip to Cateel from my boyfriend’s blogger colleague and ever famous big brother, Olan Emboscado of The Travel Teller, I thought, “Hey, I think this might be cool if we could join.” Eventually, we managed to save up some money to indeed make the Laag-laag sa Aliwagwag Falls trip happen for both my boyfriend and I. It was the first time ever that I have traveled with a significant other out of town.

Here’s yours truly, Semarfe looking absolutely thrilled and excited early in the morning.

The moment we got off the van and rushed towards the Aliwagwag Falls, it was clear for us, it was the right choice to make this trip. Even at the base, the Aliwagwag Waterfalls looked beautiful. It was a sight that isn’t something we get to see in our day-to-day city routine back in Davao. One thing that both of us weren’t prepared for though, was hiking the trail beside the walls going up. Nonetheless, it was a great experience for the two of us.

The Aliwagwag Falls

The Aliwagwag Falls wasn’t the only place on our itinerary though. We have also paid a visit to a nearby Hanging Bridge, where he found out about my extreme sensitivity and fear of height.

Cateel is such a beautiful place. It’s great to see the place thriving again and moving on from the horrifying calamity it has been subjected to when Typhoon Pablo devastated the whole place.
