In an interview on Showbiz Central last October 9, Pia Guanio confirms that he married that said businessman. The intimate ceremony happened last October 1 at Ayala, Alabang. She said, “I will categorically answer that, and the answer is yes,” as she confirms the marriage with Steve Mago.
She also explains why she had to keep it private even to her co-host in Showbiz Central. As she explains,
“We just really wanted it private. And we wanted just a few people.
“Because we really wanted to concentrate on the ceremony, on the blessing, and the message from our pastor.
“So, ayaw talaga namin ng any kind of unnecessary distractions which… a big wedding entails.
“So, minabuti na lang namin to just have our families present because, honestly, sila lang naman talaga yung pinakaimportante.
“And, of course, yung pastor namin and his wife, with whom we have been having seminars for so many weeks just preparing for this event talaga.”
Dagdag pa ng newlywed, “I mean, so many people think that a wedding is one day, but it’s not. It’s a long period of preparations.
“And I don’t mean flowers, I don’t mean themes, I don’t mean motifs, I don’t mean ten-gazillion guests.
“We’re missing the forest for the trees, alam mo ‘yon?
“Parang with all the preparations, sometimes nami-miss mo yung mensahe talaga, e, yung kahalagahan nung okasyon.
