The present singing sensation of the Philippines, Charice Pempengco has made the Philippines proud again, just like she did all throughout her sparkling career in the international scene, from the lone Little Big Star screened locally, to the most viewed channels of You Tube, eventually being invited to a foreign event, and hitting the big television screen via Oprah. The blessings keep pouring on Charice Pempengco, even until now, during the pre-Inaugural Ball of President-elect Barak Obama.
Among the many other starts and celebrities from the international scene, Charice Pempengco is one of them, actually one of the two Filipina among the Filipinos who is a real part in the Obama President Inauguration set for the 20th January in Washington D.C. Even ahead of the scenario, Charice has made her mark.
Making all Filipinos in America proud, and definitely also all the Filipinos across all continents, Charice Pempengco was invited to sing two songs, one which is God Bless America and the other one titled One Moment in Time. It’s such an honor for her to sing God Bless America during the pre-Inaugural Ball, even getting a standing ovation makes it a big honor for her, but singing such a very important, makabayan song for the Americans makes it even more significant and made her feel even more tensed and nervous before her performance.
But guess what? Walang sablay, is all that Filipinos can say regarding Charice Pempengco singing God Bless America during Obama’s pre-Inaugural Ball. She had her job well done, and of course was featured again in the local television scenes, and is definitely not only one of the brightest (if not the brightest) in the Philippines, but surely one of the brightest stars in the International Perspective.

Charice has done it again! 😉 Being in the pre-inaugural ball of Obama is already a blessing enough. Singing for him is way beyond her dreams. I hope Charice does good in the international scene but I hope she’d still come back to the native country if she has time. People in the US mostly Pinoys are all awed by Charice’s talent. How undefinable her journey was.

Charice Pempengco was invited to perform at the Realizing the Dream Fourth Annual King Day Commemoration & 2nd Annual Realizing the Dream Award Celebration. The event date was Jan. 18, at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill and was hosted by Martin Luther King III.
It was not a pre-inaugural celebration of President Barak Obama, it was not even televised, and it was a private reception. And President B. Obama was unable to attend the reception.
No one does it better,Charice got the talent and the charm why? because she is a Filipino. Kudos! to Charice I hope I could meet her personally someday
