Abreeza is one of the most hyped Malls in Davao City that opened last May 12, 2011 at Bajada, Davao City. It boasts of a number of unknown brands to the average Dabawenyo, and brings in the much anticipated Starbucks to town.

Abreeza Mall standing tall since May 12, 2011

To be honest, I haven’t been to Abreeza yet, but I’ve been anticipating the opening of this huge Mall for a long time now. I’ll be heading to Abreeza today, probably biking my way up there near a friends house and walking the rest of the path to the Mall. Reason for this is because a fellow Davao based blogger pointed out that it’s kinda pointless to go there by jeep or by car. It’ll take you some time, not just some, but according to his experience, a lot.

The People from DavaoBase.com have already visited Abreeza, and I’m sure many other Davao Bloggers have been there, too. We’ll be updating this post throughout the day with exciting stories from our fellow Colleagues of the local Blogging Community.

Starbucks is in Town

I was more than content with the likes of Kopi Roti, Kangaroo, and Caffe Firenzo. But Starbucks takes it to a whole new level, some might say. Of all the shops that are moving in that have never been seen or heard of in the Metro guess what stood out? Yes, Starbucks, because it’s a first (of hopefully a few more) branches here in Davao. Tourists who love Starbucks most have been surprised by the fact that there hasn’t been one in Davao prior the opening of Abreeza.

I have to admit though, that I also wish to pay Starbucks a visit, for the sake of going with the flow, maybe. Like I said above, what we already have in the City has made me feel satisfied already. And I’ve never really got the hang out of the Starbucks hype. Probably because the closest I got to Starbucks was in Kuala Lumpur. I had the choice to make if I’d wanted to go to Starbucks or McDonalds which stood right beside it. Both of’em were not good ideas, since I should have tasted some local delicacies.

Have you been to Abreeza?

How was your experience touring the Abreeza Mall? I guess for most Dabawenyos who only know SM City Davao, NCCC Mall and Gaisano Mall, there’s probably nothing like it!
