The featured Teen for this week, as me, yours truly. That’s what Kevin wants, eh. So, anyways. I’m Princess Quin, the Co-Administrator of this teen site, and the present facilitator here. Recently, we’ve thought of splitting our tasks. Kevin, doing offline advertising as he is very much in need to enhance his in real life network of friends and acquantances. While I will stay hooked at home maintaining the website for 5 hours a day on weekdays, and full time on weekends.

So, in short, it’ll be me with whom you’ll hang out with for the next couple of weeks to come. Kevin is trying to excel in school, in order to get promoted back to Ateneo de Davao. I’d like to keep things tight and easy, and want to open up to my readers. That’s the kind of blogger I am, although, I have no real blogging experience yet, but being a writer on this blog, who, as said above, recently has been promoted to the administration level.

Honestly, blogging is one of my weaknesses, I tend to be very talkative in real life, but when it comes to write down stuff, you can’t expect much from me, but I’ll try my best. I’m a quiet geeky person, loving WordPress, the blogging tool we’re using and other cool softwares that I make use of on my private sites (that I won’t share here).

Speaking of WordPress, WP 2.6 beta 2 has recently been released! I’ve upgraded a while ago to this version and everything works out nicely with no problems. Although problems may start coming up one by one, once you move things around. Like for example moving your wp-config.php out of the blog root, causing some problems (if not all) to work the way you don’t want them to, or not seeing them work at all. A topic has been raised about this issue and I find it very vital to share this to you, so that you will become aware of some changes that WordPress 2.6 is bringing up. To share one positive impact is the implementation of Google Gears which makes the back end load a lot faster, and even let’s people work behind the scene while not being connected to the internet, according to a commentor (haven’t tried it yet) on WeBlog Tools.

Me, being very happy with this implementation, am very happy to inform you that it has now also been implemented on WordPress.Com blogs. Yet another reason for you to get a blog yourself over WordPress.Com. For now, that’s all that I’ve gathered from the blogging world, or let’s say the WordPress Blogoshpere, which I can conveniently access via our blogs admin dashboard. :)
