I’m quiet off-schedule with the posts that I’m supposed to display here, and a post-up of the La Salle and FEU game is quiet too late as well. So, I’ll just keep the ball rolling and head for another topic to get a post out for today.

We’ve seen a lot of Eagles stepping up for Ateneo in the recent games, counting in Rabeh to be one of them, yet the 3 most vital picks among them are Tiu, Salamat and Star Rookie Ryan Buenafe. From the first game on, we’ve seen the potential of the Chief Eagle Chris Tiu, as it was quiet an awesome performance of him yet again, close to an all-Tiu show.

Yet, without the help of his fellow Eagles, I doubt that Ateneo would have made it through. In the DLSU-ADMU game, Salamat played a very vital role in the 3rd quarter, heating up the Archers with back to back breakfasts to get the rocket going for Ateneo de Manila.

In their second game against the Falcons, the defensive perspective of Ateneo showed off yet again, with a solid Chris Tiu taking the lead. And a nice game played by the star Rookie Ryan Buenafe.

The third and yet their most spectacular performance so far in terms of the balanced defense and offense was against a though contender UE Red Warriors, killing their dreams of striking another 14-0 (and maybe getting stuck in the finals again).

For now, it seems to be an all Ateneo season, with 3 victorious ballgames in 3 meetings. Can they hold on to this clean sheet or will someone cut their flight? No matter, if they will get the clean sheet or not, what counts is whether they’ll grab the crown or don’t.

I doubt that UE has been contended with their performance last season. 14 wins straight, but what happened at the end?
