In behalf of the 3 spear headed Pinoy Teens Online Davao Community, I’m proud to inform everyone that we bought a new domain name, noypionline.com. I can’t tell what Kevin Paquet will be trying to do with this domain name, but for sure it’ll be something great to look forward to.

As for some updates, the monthis closing in, and we don’t have had any domain name competition for August because the subscriber count went down. Yet, we’ll gonna double the prizes for the upcoming month. Yes, we’ll double it. 2 Domain names at stake now! All that you need to do is to subscribe to our blog via email and verify your subscription to be counted as a official subscriber.

It’s very easy to join, simply refer to the upper right box to enter your email. Don’t forget to check your email account for the verification link you need to click on to activate your subscription with us.

The winners will be announced at the end of September. The Month of July

Before I head to bed for the 31st time 30th time this month, I’ll post up some statistics for this month of July and a couple of details about what was going on, what went right and what went wrong.

July, a success in disguise.

With Pinoy Big Brother vanished in the earlies of June 2008, I’ve had a little hope in getting Pinoy Teens Online’s Traffic stable. I do not, and will not ever try automated traffic machines to gain traffic which appeared to be my last option in this months chase for a top spot in the Alexa Ranking. Like I’ve promised to myself to avoid using wares like that to pull me up, I’ve had to seek for alternatives. Good content, go with the flow, and entrecards while bloghopping.

• Good Content - a couple of definitions appeared useful to some of our readers, actually to 1,209 people who arrived on Pinoy Teens based on educational keywords based on our articles about the scientific method and the taglish explanation and definition of Economics.
• Go with the flow - Pinoy Big Brother passed by, so did my dreams of entering the 300,000 Alexa Mark kissed me goodbye. But, my determination and strong will empowered me to seek yet again for another alternative, going with the flow. I delivered articles that the people want to read about. Though they’ve been quite short, I know people who feel contented about it, just knowing the latest UAAP NCAA results of their favorite teams. It was really an additional plus and the UAAP NCAA will continue serve me as the main stream of my traffic. Since, I don’t and I won’t ride the PDA enthusiast train.
• EntreCards - While developing my relationship with fellow bloggers and expanding my social blogging network, entrecards has been a great key factor which helped me find awesome blogs owned by Filipinos, just like me.

July in Numbers

According to my cpanel, July brought in 130,000 visitors including search engines and returning visitors. Whilst my installed tracker script calculates a total of 70,000 visitors (which is 20,000 more than last month), excluding search engines and bots and returning visitors. More than 70% of the traffic comes from search engines just like google. With over 3,000 visitors for the keyword “teens” alone. 15% of the remaining traffic came from Entrecards, while 10% come from other referring sites and only 5% of our visitors arrived here via bookmarks or direct hits from their address bar.

• Google has updated it’s page rank, and we are back on PR3!
• Philippine Host which is acquired by Pinoy Teens Online sails into the blogoshpere!
• We hit 155,000 in Alexa
• Got an authority of 145 in Technorati
• We’re now ratified and atm. the 67 of 708 ratified blogs
• We’ve got 171 active readers via Feedburner
• We bought PinoyTeens.Org which is actually dead right now LOL
• A Flickr Pro for the website!
• The hottest post of the month in terms of look ups, with no doubt is A Very Special Love
• We sent out a tag game!
• Got a review from BLOG2u Philippines
• Had a total income of 96.46 US Dollar and invested 134 US Dollar in to the site and some projects
  • Leaving us a total of 320 US Dollar in our unverified paypal account. LOL
• What else can we ask for?

Our aim is to help you out with whatever problems that keep on bugging you emotionally or by any other means (except for financial support). Our highly trained and serious Support Staff would be very glad if you would take that extra click to contact them about your problem.

Don’t worry, they don’t bite and we won’t laugh at you at all. We may or may not contact you either by email or by posting your problem on our blog (of course, we’ll keep your name confidential). so, there’s nothing that you may loose! ^^,)

WordPress 2.6 brings us luck!

Just a few hours after the release of WordPress 2.6, we went over to the official site and downloaded this latest release. All our major websites and affiliates are now running this version to ensure that the system stays intact and secure at all times.

WordPress 2.6 is something that has been highly anticipated by Pinoy Teens Online, following it ever since the beta 1 release, beta 2, beta 3, RC1 and now the stable version. So far, we’ve not encountered any bug, and those couple of plugins that appeared incompatible or causing an error on our 2.6 beta installation have been patched up with by the respective plugin authors as they updated them, including blog metrics.

Upon the release of WordPress 2.6, things went for the better for us in many aspects. We’ve hit the 200k line of Alexa and are running within our targeted zone. The comment volume increased rapidly (we’ve also been commenting on other blogs, so this is quiet no wonder why, but still..), traffic wise we are hitting now a stable 1,400 visitors a day increasing day by day a little bit more and more.

Yet, the latest check on our traffic stats brought us some sad news, our Reach in Alexa decreased rapidly, and suddenly; as we disappeared from the top 100,000 if we take it reach wise. But with all the rain, there’s always the sun to shine afterward. As we’ve been nominated (actually Kevin nominated us) for the blog idol (correct me if I’m wrong) week 3, which will be in the coming week. Whilst he managed to get is into the competition, me, yours truly Princess will take care with the campaign to safely deliver us to victory!

Another update on the dish.. The server load has decreased, a lot of plugins have been sacrificed on our blogs but well, it’s for the common good of our network anyway. Since, even the SUPER CACHE System was unable to handle the recent increase of traffic (not on this blog alone) that we’ve been experiencing.

Well, so far so good I would say. Tingnan natin what will happen sa susunod na mga araw sa Pinoy Teens^^,)

SezWho + EntreCards

Actually, I should be studying and worrying about what would come up in the Monthly Examination tomorrow, yet other stuffs are worrying me, like the server load that I’ve been experiencing lately. I wonder, if I am causing it or any of my hosting sites is causing it. For this reason, I have disabled 23 suspected server abusing hosting accounts on my free hosting service, with only 2 websites coexisting at present on the said host that I’m offering.

For an instance, these problems like studies and server problems have constrained me from sending comment love back to my readers’ blogs and to respond to your comments, emails and drops. I’ll follow up with all those stuff this week end, I promise. As for another point, like most of you entredroppers know and like the post title says it, EntreCards has made partnership with SezWho, one of the leading Comment Chuva which I do really need to learn about yet. I wonder if adding the plugin for this one on my blog will ’cause server load or will pull up the comment rate which is quiet awesome anyway right now, with over 1,500 comments posted on our 381 articles published.

Update: So far so good, I don’t see any differences in the server and its performance, everything runs smooth and easy as of now, again, the server load is back under the normal 1.56

PTO Anew

Alright, I’m not in bed yet, I need to wake up 6 in the morning, or earlier. We’ll have the Holy Spirit Mass in School this morning, and I surely don’t want to miss it as this has always been a vital mass for me, and for the fellow students as well.

But, before I’ll close my eyes this dawn, I’d like to post up the information that Pinoy Teens Online v4 has been launched, the site has received a total renew from the front page to the blog page and every single other page. Since time won’t allow me further, I’ll continue reconstructing our forum, to suit the present theme that we are using here on the blog.

So, what’s up today?

First of all, I’d like to apologize to everyone that I didn’t made it to the respective deadlines of 3 posts that are supposed to appear alongside this one, I just wasn’t able to spare some time for the posts; why? That’s what you’ll gonna find out now.

I was unable to comply with my personal tasks-to-do-list and schedule because of unexpected events taking place. Though, everything turned out very nicely favoring my desire. There where no problems at school today, nor will there be any problems in the coming days or weeks, the unfinished business is finally sealed in peace. I won’t tell how it happened, but, it just happened.

We’re getting better for you

Pinoy Teens Online hasn’t been active yesterday because it was my birthday. So, either today or on Sunday I will catch up with all the drafts that I have here inside my administration panel about the stuff that I’d like to publish on the website.

Meanwhile to have at least done anything today, I have edited and created a couple of new pages for the page navigation wherein you can easily know more about Pinoy Teens, request for topics or lessons to be discussed and easily contact us via the page navigation I earlier mentioned.
