Araw ng Dabaw knocking on the door

Araw ng Dabaw is yet another festive event that will take place here, at the largest city in the world [1. Area wise.] Davao City, Philippines. It’s a annual festival that’s been celebrated by the people who inherit this wonderful land, the dabawenyos, dabawenios or however you wish to spell it.

Whilst I’m just trying to get a post out for now, I’d like to inform you that I will try my best to get a coverage of the Araw ng Dabaw in soon time posted on the blog, as this has been a popular request by a few of my readers who missed me [1. It has been almost a week since the last post.] So again, watch out for the Araw ng Dabaw coverage to be posted here at Pinoy Teens Online!

UP Valentines Fair attracts couple and single alike

The University of the Philippines had their own contribution to this very special Hearts Day (Araw ng mga Puso; in Tagalog). Featured on the number one television network after ABS CBN, GMA; was the UP Valentines fair held yesterday evening! People from as far as Laguna and other distant places within the Luzon region were attracted to this event which led to a jam-packed venue and a definitely good time for all the attendants, even if not all of those who wanted to enter have made it.

The fair ended with a festive firework display to welcome the 14th February, thus this very Valentines Day 2009. You can view the video of them here

PWC celebrated Teachers Day

The National Teachers Day is usually celebrated all-together by all schools and universities in the Philippines on a specific date (February 18, if I heard the EMCEES correctly). But the people at the PWC held on to their unique tradition and culture by celebrating our very own Teachers Day during the feast of hearts or the Valentines Day. Since the Valentines day is scheduled for the 14th February which is a Saturday; and tomorrow we are having no classes nor school at all, there is no better time to do so rather than this afternoon.

My party prepared for another lazy and boring afternoon which they have been truly really corrected about. It was a awesome time, students from the grade school up to the senior graduating class of the high school department had a smile on their faces as we all together as one celebrated an event that was pretty memorable to both the student body and faculty alike.

GenSan hosts Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2008

General Santos City will be the host of this years Mindanao Bloggers Summit. And I will be there to representMindanao Bloggers Summit my personal blog, my poetry site and Pinoy Teens Online at the said event. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet new friends and make some buzz around the event. Buzz in a way that I will be able to speak infront of everyone and introduce some of the hippest and coolest plugins around for your WordPress installations, plugins that every single WordPress empowered blog should have.

Including in my draft picks are Akismet, WP Comment Remix, WP Super Cache, All In One SEO and a lot more. I will post more information about these plugins and my presentation once it’s 101% confirmed that I’ll be having the honor to get a slot to talk at the bloggers summit.

Whilst the former WordCamp Philippines was a event mainly about WordPress, this event reaches far beyond the limits of it. It’s about the blogigng community of the Philippines at large. Small scale and Pro Blogger meet at the scene, from WordPress Users, WordPress MU Hosted Users, Blogger, Movable Type and whatsoever blogging tool are gathering around at one place. To enjoy the company of people who share a common habit, blogging.

And my task at the said event will be, to make the people believe that WordPress rules among all these blogging services and software, most importantly that the stand-alone WordPress gives them limitless access to anything they could imagine.

So fellas, see you there at the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2008

ps: for Migs and other organizers, this is not a entry for the event, I posted mine on my personal blog already

AdMU Bonfire, burning La Salle Player names

In disbelief I have to share these words of a member of the De La Salle University.. The Ateneo de Manila Community might have showed off their excellence in terms of basketball, but their aftermath behavior suggests otherwise. Before I involve too many personal lines, let’s proceed with a email sent to one of our forum members.

Ateneans, we understand that you need to have fun and to quell your pain to have another championship party Ateneo bonfire because your last championship was 6 years ago so we’re giving it to you. We’ve got no problem with that. Asides, there is always next year for all of the other teams to bounce back so go on, have your victory party. But please don’t take it too personal to a point that you will burn the names of our team’s players, management and staff. We don’t usually take it into offense that you refer to us in a playful way but if you are going to burn the names of the people who make up the De La Salle Green Archers, you might as well have the balls to burn our names.
