Do you know your WordPress Dashboard?
September 2, 2009
In celebration with the launch of the tech blog here on Pinoy Teens, (A wholly moly new blog within a blog); let’s get the celebration started with a little contest. Just a little one, where ten thousand entre credits are at stake, just by leaving a simple comment. The question goes as the title says, if you know your dashboard.
Well, WordPress dashboards don’t really differ much, you can alter the font through editing the admin css, you can add and remove widgets, but there are some edits that most people oversee, and that’s what I wish you to have a keen look upon and tell me, what’s the difference between my dashboard and yours. There are obvious differences, but heck, the best comment wins. Yes, there will be one winner among all of you. But the credits account to 5,000 only. If someone can spot the difference that makes my WordPress dashboard totally unique from yours, you’ll get 10,000 credits with no further questions asked. How does that sound?

It has been some time since our last engrande give away. And we’re back, giving free stuff away once again. It’s very easy to join and very easy to win. And price is also just a very easy domain name, read as noypionline.com.
The contest is simple, you’ve got to do three things, and three things only.
- Leave as many relevant comments as you can on our blog (5 comments per day will be counted, more than that is optional), you need to use only 1 email address and username throughout the contest so that we can count them up easier.
- Write on YOUR blog that you are joining our contest, you don’t need to write a special blog post for this. You can try to squeeze it into any post you write on your blog to inform your friends that you are part of this contest and encourage them to join as well. Don’t forget to link to this post, to the link of our email subscription (optional) and to our homepage, and you’re set to go.
- Subscribe via email, using the email that you are using for leaving comments here, it must be a valid email since you need to verify your subscription on feedburner, the email subscription link can be found beside the logo above there.

ADDITIONAL CHANCES of WINNING:

WP Recipes for WordPress Lovers
December 18, 2008
I stumbled upon one very neat website that is related to WordPress once again, just like most of the websites I’m registered to are. But this time it’s something so noticeable that I would like to share it with all of you. For those who have been having problems with their WordPress installation and/or are looking for additional hacks that you could make use of, you could go ahead and ask the chief cook of WP Recipes to cook you one, or, maybe by looking around you find something on their already awesome and continuously extending menu. PWC Davao Visual Basic Programming Contest
December 9, 2008
Another day has passed another tragic fact that I have to accept and digest. I know, being second placer isn’t that bad at all, especially when you are competing against four extremely competitive and skilled brains per group, with 3 groups aside mine. Yet, I wanted more, I wanted that top spot, but me alone, or should I say, partly aided by Ivan Yap were quite no match against the competition that moved past us easily.
The Visual Basic Contest started pretty well, we were ahead by more than three minutes of the other sections in the first round and left quite a big impression on the people in attendance watching us at the computer laboratory, but it was that critical second round that has left us float on water and eventually sink.
Discussing: Blog Design
November 27, 2008
I’m a newbie when it comes to Blog Designs, or should I say to designs in general? I can’t do anything but a bit of html on our themes and work around some WordPress codes, but who cares? My friend and I have gathered here at my house to discuss a few points about Blog Designs in general.
The first thing that came to my mind was questioning him, what he would prefer, paid, sponsored or freeGPL themes? And he answered straight back that he is in favor of Free Themes.
In WordPress Designs, or Blog Designs, rather; it doesn’t really matter what you offer your readers in terms of blog design, it’s still the content that counts, but having a blog design that suits the eyes of your readers and the niche of your blog is a great bonus, including strategic placement for advertisement. But who cares?
I have been left unsatisfactory a couple of times, the Revolution Theme and Revolution Two Series which gave me an headache in terms of getting the theme edited and the RevolutionPRO Media specifically in terms of server load caused because of all the customization that I applied. During these times, the quality of my posts has declined, and hey, it has really affected my blogging, but who cares?
Ho! Ho! Ho! Get a free gift from us!

But hey, that’s not all yet. In order to be able to win a bigger prize in our contest that is related to the Survey, you need to have a Blog, it doesn’t matter what kind of blog you have, it’s just plain and simple important that you have one that you can use for our survey.

4,000 ECs for July! – Comment Feast
July 13, 2008
The earlier post about a contest doesn’t seem to be quiet effective, so again, in behalf of Kevin I’ll be running a new contest!.. or let’s say just a little promotion from which most especially Entrecards Users can benefit from.
All that we ask is that you’ll add comments on our articles, and the top comment writer will receive 2500 EC Credits, the second highest on the rank will get 1000 and the 3rd will receive 500 ECs at the end of this month. In total, just like the title says it, you’ll get 4,000 EC Credits just for writing comments.
But that is not all. If writing comments is to monotonous for you, you may also write about this contest on your blog and get 5 points for that. Every comment is considered as 1 point from this day on. And every link back from your blogs will be considered as 5 points. All you need to do is as said, either add comments to the articles or write about our little promotion on your blog with a link back to this article and the homepage of our blog. That’s it, and here we go!
Before you head over and comment on our posts, may I ask you to please leave a comment on this article stating that you’ll be joining the contest and please, do use 1 name and 1 URL and 1 email all throughout so that it’ll be easier for us to tally your points.
What are you waiting for? Start commenting now!
EDIT:
Get 5 points extra for subscribing and verifying your subscription to our feedburner email newsletter!
If you subscribe to it, then let us know by leaving a comment also
