We read about a rumor that even further unfolded the dark side of ABS-CBN as stated in an earlier post, and mentioned several times in the past. The news is spreading like fire and angers teens all over the Philippines. According to the source, the PBB Teen Clash Audition in selected key cities was just for formalities sake?!

If we come to think about it, a Star Magic talent heading to the Pinoy Big Brother House; do you really think he has auditioned like the 40,000 (Manila) 5,000 (Davao) teenagers and young adults did? It saddens me that this reality show isn’t really a reality show anymore. We can rather call it a show, in which whatever the network wants becomes reality. Somehow, we can be happy about their “invisible hands” getting into work. We may not have a Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson or Melason without them, if this news beholds truth.

I have a friend from MySpace who I met during the auditions held in PDA Concert Hall last 2009. She is a 100% Filipina who grew up in the states. While we were on the line, she was pulled out by her mom for an unknown reason to us.

Fortunately, I got her e-mail address and was able to contact her through the networking site I mentioned above. I asked her what happened and she told me that the casting director took pictures of her, made her a profile and asked her to tell them whenever she’s back in town. The casting director also told her that the audition held was just for formality.

It truly shows that Abs-Cbn has created a television series that does not only appeal to the older crowd (like most of their soap operas), but also to the younger generation, like proven through Twitter.

May Bukas Pa had its finale this very evening, just a few hours back. It jumpstarted it journey through the Twitter Trending Topic on the 8th position and ended up being the number one most discussed topic between 8-9PM in the Twitters Trending Charts. While it was also able to reach the second place on the trending Twitter Topics on the sidebar for all logged in people to see!

Santino, the miracle boy who leads the teleserie May Bukas Pa did a very excellent job in the show throughout its one year appearance on national television, this is one of the rare cases that makes me proud to have chosen the Kapamilya way. You can say all you want and debate all you want which television network rules -no one will be able to create such amazing television series like Abs-Cbn did with May Bukas Pa!

Congratulations to the staff and the cast of the said tv series for entertaining millions of Filipinos within and outside of the Philippines! You’ve not only come to entertain us, but you’ve proven that you are the superior network and that you can do something special even without the special effects that many have longed to see in Philippine Television, since we all know that even cinema wise, we’re much behind the other countries!

ABS CBN is about to pull an ace out from their arm with this year’s Christmas Station ID 2009 which is argued to be a piece very dearly executed by the brightest ABS CBN talents like: Angel Locsin, John Lloyd Cruz, Charo Santos Concio, Zaijan Jaranilla, Toni Gonzaga, Ai Ai delas Alas, Coco Martin, Vhong Navarro, Helen Gamboa, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Aga Muhlach, Judy Ann Santos, Dolphy, Jake Cuenca, Gina Pareño, Ruffa Gutierrez, Sam Milby and Gloria Romero among others.

Their Christmas Station ID song was sung by: Sarah Geronimo, Piolo Pascual, KC Concepcion, Billy Crawford, Erik Santos, Mark Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Yeng Constantino, Jed Madela, Nina, Sitti, Aiza Seguerra, Richard Poon, Duncan Ramos and the Pinoy Dream Academy kids; and was written by ABS-CBN Creative Communication Management Head, Robert Labayen with music composed by Marcus and Amber Davis.

Abs-Cbn is being accused to have copied a portion from GMA’s noon-time show, Eat Bulaga which is called Kahit Sino Pwede or KSP for short. Like in It’s Showtime, there are various kinds of people from those who actually know their thing well, do those who totally missed out performing what they believe they can do best.

Host of It’s Showtime defends the show and himself by saying that the two shows are totally different from each other and that there is no comparison to be made.

Yet people watching the television nowadays seem to be smarter than you think, and they really are. Because even if Vhong Navarro would say that his It’s Showtime differs from the Eat Bulaga KSP portion, it is clear to see and safe to say that the concept was copied from Kahit Sino Pwede.

Have you noticed the same thing? Well, I can’t argue about this, because I barely turn the television on, how much more do I switch to Eat Bulaga?

Most especially after the numerous online petitions going on to have the show stopped. Again, he has not been directly suspended, but from what we can deduce about the Willie Revillame indefinite leave from the show, it is like he has been suspended. He might have been suspended, but he left earlier than asked which leaves us puzzled about this issue and certain other aspects.

Why Boycott Wowowee and Suspend Willie?

A lot have been asking this question. Even I, most especially people who sympathize for Willie’s dear reaction of choosing (I don’t sympathize him nor otherwise), whether to have the show going or have the funeral going on National Television, but not both at the same time. Personally, it was a good choice that he has voiced out his concern there, for ABS CBN to pick one of the two options, since it is really not that nice to watch a happy show knowing that one very influential women to the Philippines, if not to the whole world in terms of delivering enhanced aspects to democracy passed away. I can’t quiet get why people are so insanely after the closure of the said show aired during noon.

Willie Revillame’s Mistake

ONE thing that might have raised the anger of the masses could be that Willie offered the choice to have either his show or the funeral aired on ABS CBN, when we could have insisted of running it instead and have Cory Aquino highlight or television shows for a few more additional hours of attention (I’m not saying she does not deserves it, because she truthfully does)

ON ABS-CBN Stand

ON the other hand, I have to say that it was a bad idea that ABS aired the funeral alongside the happy show. I believe that it wasn’t Willie who paid the least respect to Cory Aquino but ABS-CBN for their crucial erroneous decision. The best thing that I could say about this move is it showcased their insensitivity and probable greed of money that they can make from Wowowee by airing it simultaneously being the faithful Cory Aquino Followers by having it sidelined on the television sets of people watching from home. Willie is right, it isn’t good to be happy seeing someone of such great influence who passed away dead in her coffin.

What is the deal about it?

Still I feel puzzled about the real deal behind it. People say Willie has become arrogant and is not worthy of all the attention he gets and all the viewers who watch his show, I’m not saying that more people should get hooked at noon watching him, but nevertheless do I support the said statement, there was nothing wrong with what he said, and if there was, I bet he let go of the words with no intention of harming anyone. If anyone encounters the same realization as I do, is a Wowowee Suspension still an option for you? Or would be rightful for Willie Revillame to be suspended?
