      smartbro sucks!!! if didn’t need internet so much i would stop using this.. I’m using their plug-in modem…once you connect to the internet it automatically charges you P10..so you have to consume your 30 mins…well, its fine with me…the damn thing about it is that it suddenly disconnect you from the internet…does, you have to connect again..another P10 charge…and it keeps on going…you’ll end up being able to do your surfing in 3 hrs but only connected to the internet for 2 hours…you’ll be lucky you’ll be disconnected just once, at least it’ll only be P10 wasted. Another is, you are still connected to the internet..in fact, when you look at the network properties, it is working super fine…but when you open a weblink it goes server error…NICE!

    My family have been using smartbro so far no problem occur yet. Btw, I heard some bloggers have complains about globe and smart. Now, I don’t know which is the best internet provider.

    I used to use this service before. SmartBro really has problems.. especially when it rains hard.. the signal just sort of disappears with the lightning and thunder! frustrating especially when you are in the middle of downloading a file or uploading stuff on the net!

    I have been using smartbro for a month now and the only problem that I have encountered is the speed for the download and the upload. I have done the steps to tweak my connection same with the motorola canopy to no avail. although I think I am getting a decent 300+kbps for the download and 100+kbps for the upload, I am still thinking how does it happened for others to get atleast 400+ to 500 kbps for the download. I think it is basically depends on the location and how far your canopy is to their tower. This is a wireless connection so basically, we cannot really compare the speed of those who are using the wired connection like bayantel and pldt. but think of it, there are less hassles for smart users compared to the other ISP.we will see what smart will do for all of this concerns

    Within the last 2 hours alone I have had download ping speeds from 318 kbps to 16.78 kbps. At present I just Pin the connection and came back as 118.55 kbps YOU …far below what should be expected, but at least its working today. How can you complain in the provence when all you get is there phones are all busy? I am near Dipolog City with no landline so unfortunatly I have no choice at this moment. The connection can be so slow or non existant to make a depressed person suicidal. For those with no complaints, think yourself lucky as you are in the minority I think

    hmm.. ganun ba. mag globe broadband ka na lang kaya. dito sa amin sa davao eh maganda ang performance ng globe. di nagdi-disconnect bigla, stable talaga at mabilis yung connection. 384 kbp/s ang connection ko pero umaabot ng 512 kbps. Yung plan ko 995 lang yan telephone + internet na.

    hmmm ask ko lang about sa smart bro.. ang ganda ng ping nya… wala request time out.. ang ganda rin sa game!!! ang BLIS sa pag upload ng mga websites.. my only problem is.. sobrang bagal ng streaming nya sa mga videos like in youtube, imeem. etc.. pero ok na ok sa na.. gnawa ko na alhat ng config about dun sa net… within a new way to access the canopy page.. pero wal aprin hehehe!! ganda ng ping bagal lang DL

    what can i say about smart bro….? all i can say is THEY REALLY SUCK!!! The only time their connection was good was when the tech guys installed my connection and after a few weeks the problems began. Every time i call up their tech support center they just make me do same thing over and over again but in the end they would tell me that they would forward it to their tech team for GOD knows what reason. Maybe its because they can’t tell their customers straightforward that’s its their fault and CAN”T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! I got tiered calling them up kabisado ko na kasi sasabihin nila. Well for now I’m just waiting for my contract to expire and no one can convince me in renewing my contract with that HI-TECH SWINDLERS.

    FYI… i have 2 smart bro lines so I’m sure they cant say that its only coincidence that i have a bad connection. BOTH CONNECTION SUCKS!!!

    I’ll be trying cable connection next time.

      will for me the the tech guy is suck..bcuz when they install the antenna in our subscription they use 6m pipe sa halip na 10m pipe..where did the 10m pipe goes??ibinulsa!!

    I purchased a P100 SmartBro load prior to going to Manila last week. The damn thing is a waste. You can never stay connected for more than 5 minutes at a time. As the commercial sez ‘DONUT BUY’.

    First of all let me say that SmartBro is a FUCKing Shit service. I’ve been using this for 4 months now and every time I connect I only got an average connection speed of 10 kbps…that’s really SMARTBULLSHIT!!!! Where is the promise of 7x faster than dial-up (dial up speed = 56kbps max)? So this is worse than dial up!!!! And every time I called up smartbro call center they always tell me there is a technical problem. How long is this technical problem? I think it’s been forever since I also read from other people that, this is smartbro since the beginning. There is also a promise of “up to 2mbps speed on selected areas” where is that located??? They did not even give a single location. This is not supposedly a guessing game, this should be a simple YES or NO issue. I’m an Electronics & Communications Engineer (ECE with Masters in Eng’g degree at MIT). I understand about baud rate or kbps rate, wireless transmission, signal loss, signal propagation, microwave link, line multiplexing, 3G, HSDPA, etc, etc. So I’m really super mad with those FUCKING technical problem alibis. This is business so it is more likely that SMART don’t want to invest more on this thing. They don’t want to buy more bandwidth. They don’t want to spend more MONEY in this time of crisis. If that is there reasoning then I’m willing to accept that, than those FUCKING alibis. If SMART cannot solve it then it is not a PROBLEM, it is the REALITY of the situation!!! They should be named “STUPID” not “SMART”. My point is they should be honest in doing business and giving promises to their customers. Buti nalang I’m prepaid so I am not bind to the 1 year subscription. I can only imagine the misery of those people having to stick to smartbro with 1 year contract!!! That’s really Bullshit. Advertisements are so good that they lure more people buying the service. If they spend that advertising money in buying more equipment to improve bandwidth of this fucking wireless internet then may be we are writing here more praises to them. But since this is our reality right now, so we will keep on shouting here BULLSHIT to SMARTbro. Hindi kasama ang mga engineers dito – I know they proposed to increase the bandwidth and I’m sure they presented to the management the impact. But business is business people, you cannot improve if you don’t have MONEY. So to hell with SMART management!!!!
