There’s a whole series called “Elan” but I’ve seen the latest billboard of them just today of a NEO Elan that sports the following:
750 HDD
6-8GB RAM
2GB VRAM (NVIDIA)
14″ Monitor.
i7″ 2nd Gen

I can’t speak so high of their quality build, because I have not owned any of their newer models, but spec-wise, it’s a monster! (di ko alam ang specific name, puro random letters and numbers kasi ang naming nila, lol)

i had a neo laptop one year before graduating college. i bought it to help me with my thesis. for three years It served me really well, the laptop. until I sold it last year, I really missed it since it was my very first laptop and I havent had any major problems with It. It had WindowsXp, Puppy Linux and Sidux ( a Linux variant) all installed at the same time. Yes, customer service really sucks

i need to buy a laptop with the ff specs:
14inch or 13inch screen
i5 or i7 processor
1Gig or 2Gig graphics card , definitely a must
4Gig to 8Gig Ram

I need it to be very dependable and costumer service must be good,
any suggestions???
p.s no vaio brand, they say its crap, not very dependable

I just bought a NEO basic and I found out that it has no bluetooth. Yet I still have no problems using it except the one I mentioned earlier. Hope they can incorporate bluetooth on their next batch of release.

It’s always good to read reviews about any type of product before buying one, my take on people who are thinking of buying a Neo laptops. I bought a Neo 3 years ago, got a Neo basic for 20K and it worked well for me despite of how careless I am with these machines. I sold mine for 8K less than a month ago, and the buyer still found value for money. A laptop is a laptop, so if you’re Filipino support Philippine made products and you’ll be glad to see them achieving world class recognition. I just started working for Neo Today, I’m glad I’m doing my part in bringing a Filipino product out of its shell and into a whole new level of excellence. Neo is indeed good for basic computer needs but if you are planning to buy a laptop for network gaming or some kind of online gaming then I must say that it is not recommended for such activities.
