Joining the festive new years celebration of the Chinese are both, Moon and Sun of ours. Wherein the Indian Ocean is very lucky to witness a Solar Eclipse to happen in just a few hours from now at around 6:00 to 9:52 GMT. I’m unsure if the Philippines, particularly Mindanao will be able to witness the eclipse too, since it’s predicted to be petering out just a few miles short of Mindanao.

This Solar Eclipse is called as a Annual Solar Eclipse and predicted to take place again on January 15, 2010.

In the middle of the year 2009, two of the most populous countries in the world are going to witness a solar eclipse too, Indian, and China, which is named a Major Solar or, Total Solar Eclipse. I will be sharing pictures tomorrow when I get home about the Solar Eclipse in India Ocean and the places around it, so stick around and/or subscribe to our email feed to receive updates.
