    it does suck that globe's immortaltxt is no longer available…but in defense of globe, whenever we type immortal10 and receive a confirmation, part of the text msg is information about until when the service is going to end…so even though i didn't really pay attention to it, i knew it was coming a few days back…

    and with regard to sarah geronimo's ad, it's still an "immortal" marketed service although the mechanics are different…i don't have access to globe's website at the moment coz im at work, but if i remember correctly, it's like 150 for a month's immortal something, call and text etc…i'd still have this verify this though

    I don't think that this is a scam because whenever we subscribe to a certain promo by Globe, they tell us till when the Promo is valid.

    GL0BE IS SO UNFAIR!!! I PAID FOR HOW MANY PESO TO REGISTER IMMORTAL TEXT AND CALL BUT NOW THE PROMO HAS GONE, MY LOAD ALSO WAS GONE! THIS IS BULLSHIT! THEY SHOULD NOT DO LIKE THIS TO THEIR SUBSCRIBER! THIS IS CONSIDERED AS SOLD COZ I AVAILED THIS DURING THE PROMO PERIOD! WALANG HIYA ANG GLOBE!

    yikes! wala na nga globe immortal. but my 40min freecalls still intact. kahit wala ng immortaltxt and immortalcall+. sana ibalik ng globe ang immortal.sa gaya ko na bihira magtext sulit ang immortal sakin.

    globe is a company therefore they're running a business!

    business to earn not to lose!

    if you're not satisfied then switch to another provider..

    globe never forced you to switch over to them.

    you should've called the customer service number first and you should've asked for the terms and conditions so you don't look as stupid as you are now..

    @Kevin Paquet — i share the same sentiments..It was really clear in their FAQs that even if the IMMORTAL promo period will end a user who has registered can still use the remaining credit..tsk tsk..

    @ … — when we say a company running a business, this means that the purpose is to earn profits. however, this does not preclude the idea that it will incur losses, being part and not merely incidental..

    "crab mentality" is not an issue here..the blog talks about how everyone was scammed and concurred by the other comments..:p

    i received a globe advisory that being a selected subscriber, i can still use the immortal promos. the bad part is that registration can only be done ONCE. the promo will end august 15, 2010. :(

      Well, the point is, they didn't clearly addressed the issue what would happen to all free texts that are left AFTER the promo-period. Would they just poof disappear? (like they really did)

    Well, my remaining minutes of call didn't poof. Still have my remaining 12 minutes.

    When I tried to register to immortal15 again last week, I got a message that the service ended last August 1, 2010. I said to my self, maybe they are not getting enough profit from this. People are less getting their prepaid reloaded and accounts are getting stagnant thus the change.

    Of course, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't bothered by this, or even saddened. But I don't think this is a scam. I am a Globe user since my first cell phone (1999 – mhen, I feel so old! haha!) And they have been generous to send free 30 worth or something of text to random users. My Aunt and I got those freebies. So I think scamming people is not their intention.

    Let's not put too much thought unto this – the end result isnt just as they hope to be. Sure they increased the number of Globe subscribers, but accounts are getting static.

    And as for the Globe Tattoo Broadband – I am using one as well. And I am having a great time of it. Try looking for tricks on how to make it faster. There is one. Google it ;) Something about the WCDMA Only-something.

    sad to say immortal call and text of globe ay wala na….but i still have my accumulated 95 minutes call and 250 free texts from immortal promo of globe…hope that globe will bring back the promo…laking tulong nito sa ating mga 'di hilig magtext at telebabad…

    I would say I'm as disappointed as everyone else that the promo ended. It was like multiplying your load by up to six times, depending on how you use it. Along with that, being free from the hassle of expiry, I think it does deserve the title "immortal". But let's keep in mind that it's a promo.

    You don't need to be a professional to know that providing services parallel to SULITXT along with (or let alone) the exclusion of expiry would serve the company much financial returns. And by the nature of such service, it is bound that it would cost the company more than benefited from the promo at some point in time. Nonetheless, Globe paved the way for it to materialize for people who are either more interested in internet chatting or less prone to group messaging. Just from this point, you would see why it's one of the few services that Smart Telecommunications did not replicate.

    Moreso, I believe it was never promised that the service would run indefinitely, as your immortal balance would. In my case, it does serve its purpose; I still have over a thousand texts and hours of calls to consume. But if it's true that your balances disappeared, at least I understand the passive aggression. I do think it's unfair if this is being done and made in random, but scam is too strong of word. Time is still unripe to call one out.

    Just try to be positive. There should be reasons as to why the service was halted. Imagine the size of the database in needs to house the said service, with millions of account balances to store at no particular deadline. Perhaps it just some time regulate and free some space.

    I know you meant well though. Motions like these (maybe less accusive) would give the company more reasons to return the immortal services than it has for stopping it. It's awesome that you voice out your concerns. Your college course fits you well.

    true. it is not immortal. remember that whenever you subscribe, it tells you to maintain 1 peso ? when that 1 peso expires or used. all of your immortal load will be taken away. it is not really immortal. globe sucks. and so it's "globe tattoo" broadband. in the supersurf commercial, it says that you can surf the net UNLIMITED. no its not. you wont be able to use you globe tattoo anymore for 1 whole day when you reached the bandwith 1gb. so, its not unlimited right ? sheesh. i used to like globe. :( (
