The Blues and former Champions of the Barclays Premier League had to draw the shorther against league nemesis Arsenal London, at home, at Stamford Bridge. Even if the score line was a 1 to 2 deficit against the gunners, the Blues have played a very poor game in general. And that might just have been due to the effect of some key players in Scolaris Team.
Joe Cole and Didier Drogba’s absence had a great impact on the game, especially the lack of Drogba’s presence who has always used to be the main nemesis for Arsenal London. Van Persie takes off with two goals back to back within just a couple of minutes, while an own goal created by Djourou added one for Chelsea.
The half time ended with Chelsea in the lead due to the own goal, but the game ended up, with F.C Chelsea drawing the shorter. The performances of the team haven’t been that good anymore and it looks like they are nearing the rear edge of taking this years championship among other contenders like Manchester United, Liverpool and the team that has beaten them; Arsenal London.
Will Chelsea bounce back from this lost and gain some confidence over the next games? There are still a lot to go, a lot to win and maybe also, a lot to loose.
