The so far best team in the UAAP Season 71, the Jesuits of Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles managed to defeat the Fighting Maroons of University of the Philippines in the first of 2 games for today’s Saturday Showcase dubbed as the “Battle of Katipunan” (correct me if I’m wrong but that is what I heard near the ending of the game.
Ateneo de Manila gathers yet another victory and continue to stay on top of the tale with 4 games played, for games succeeded and not even a single drop so far. Ryan Buenafe, has played an outstanding match, with season high 17 points, which is something really amazing for a rookie like him. Having other rookies playing well for other teams too, Ryan has proven the vast difference between them.
UP Fighting Maroons haven’t played such a bad game, but they need to tweak a couple of things here and there to get the ball going, now at the 2nd to the last of the table with NU at the bottom with not even a single win in all games played.
