Back Type – Gather all your comments

Did you ever felt like, you missed out a discussion on the web which you want to take another glance at? Or have you realized that you missed the check box to subscribe to follow-up comments on a interesting article? Or do you simply want the discussion going and have a list of whatever comment that you have left across the web on various websites?

I’ve got the solution for you, but not really the solution that I intended to share with you. Well, let me keep things short. I’ve discovered a site, actually two sites that allow you to gather all your comments and keep track of the conversations that you are involved in. No more need to worry about your email being flooded with “there’s a new comment here, there’s a new comment there” on those hot topics you are part of. No more need to remember wherever you have left a comment because there’s this tool that can help you out pretty nicely.

Back Type is a website that allows you to gather all your comments that you have posted across the web on various websites and blogs, so that you can keep the discussion going and have a little overview of the conversations that you are part of; you can even keep track on people who are using your URL in while they leave comments who either pretend as being you, or just feel like doing so (doh).

I actually wanted to share to you CoMments.Com, which was my first choice for Comment Tracking, which is looking for a new owner after the announcement of shutting down last January 12 (the server is hell slow right now). But good that I came across a post about Back Type and gave me a new hope to track conversations of present and past.

How does Back Type Comment Gathering Works?

All that you need to be worried about is having a real email address which you need to confirm your account. Then, you have to add the URLs that you have been using in the Website/URL field when you leave comments on other blogs (which surely is your own URL, am I right?). Do some edits on your profile (who knows, you might meet some new friends), and you’re set to go, wait for a few minutes as Back Type will collect all the comments that you have posted on other blogs.

It’s safe to say that it works for both WordPress and BlogSpot blogs and various other blogging wares, so you really have a well rounded overview of every word you uttered on articles of other people.
