Last night’s primetime episode of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 was a real turn off. I’m glad, that I’m not the only one who felt that way, who thought what was on display in front our Television Sets wasn’t right anymore.

It’s clear, this years’ batch of Teen Housemates contains some of the worst characters yet. No, I’m not summing them up, but citing Karen, Claire, and Kit pretty much speak for themselves.

I find it very sad that there are young tweens and teenagers out there who actually embrace what they saw on national television and even encourage #KITEN to further do so.

The fact that these young people adore what Karen and Kit are doing might mean, that these young people will follow the lead of the two shameful housemates. They’re definitely NOT good role models towards the youth of today.

PBBTeens4 episode last night confirmed what I had thought about for a long time already. There’s no way that this stupid “reality” show can garner high ratings and audience if not through backstabbing done by the housemates or PDA moments done by the housemates.

Where’s the value in all of that?

I hope that the teens blinded by the spotlight that #PBBTeens4 has got will see clearly soon, before it’s too late, before they start mimicking the housemate’s actions.

What are your thoughts about #KITEN?

First and foremost I want to clarify that I am neither a hater, nor a fan of Jamich. Just like Kevin, I’m just somebody who wants to say something about the uproar going on both on Facebook and on Youtube at the moment. Don’t worry though, as I shall try to limit my personal bias on this matter.

I am not saying though that anything that Kevin has written is in anyway wrong just because he freely expressed his point of view – what I mean is, I shall try to be more tactful in explaining my perspective. I urge all of you, may you be a fan, a hater or just a mere observer to continue reading this post of mine.

There are a lot of people on Facebook who think like me. People who are curious and quite stoke by the popularity of this couple noted by others as the Jejecouple or by their fans, Jamich. They have close to nothing unique to offer, and that’s a fact. All that they manage is depict their “relationship” through their videos, one of which counts to the most popular “By Chance”.

No doubt, a lot of Filipino teenagers can relate to that. Not just teenagers, but eitherway younger or older of that age class do. They showcase nothing new – nothing peculiar that might make me “Wow” or admire them.

A commenter on this blog said that their videos or their love story per se, as presented through their videos are just as ordinary as the relationship many other people have – long term relationships, I mean.

Like she (the commenter), I’m guessing that most of their fans did not have a long term relationship yet. That’s pretty much the part that worries me.

While it may be entertaining and relatable on one hand, it’s quite annoying and irritating on the other. Why? Well, this comment from one of our reader pretty much says it all:

hindi ako attention whore at frustrated to be an actress/actor eh isusugaL ko reLationship namen makabiLang Lang sa showbiz industry .. tipong dahiL hindi pinaLad na manaLo sa isang reaLity search show eh ayun , parapraan para kumita at kahit sagradong reLationship eh gagamitin just to earn money .. )
and pLease Lang .. oo may mga fans kayo and sabihin na nating haLf of it were teens or mas bata pa .. kapupuLutan ba ng araL mga pinagagagawa ? in pubLic magkikiss ? videos puro kaLandian ? ako ba naman eh gawing video ung kapupuLutan ng araL hindi ung puro Landian ) kaya maraming pariwara ngayon at nadidisgrasya kase nga dagdag pa videos nyo at dahiL iniidoLo siLa eh ihahaLintuLad or itutuLad na niLa mga gagawin niLa sa ginagawa ng idoLs niLa

People (Jamich) like these should vanish.

It’s hard to hide it, but deep inside my skin I just can’t stand them, just like our colleagues at Pinoy Teens. There is no valuable lesson, well, actually, nothing at all that you can get from them. They are clearly just after the money as their most recent “The Answer” video shows – they are also clearly feeling celebrities already even though they haven’t proven anything.

They might be wanted by PR groups, asked to do TV guestings, but on our end, and I’m sure that most of matino Filipino Teens would agree; they are unworthy of any kind of positive publicity.

Please. Don’t call me insecure. Don’t call me narrow minded. You fans need to wake up. Accept the fact that your “idols” have messed up, that they committed a mistake that can’t be erased just by saying sorry – specially not how they have said sorry.

Look at the bigger picture and you’ll realize how greedy they are, how feeling celebrity, and how much better all our lives would be without them. It’s not too late to abandon them – may it not be in much effect to you, but I’m sure a lot of innocent teenagers would be saved not having to watch any of their videos where they show nothing valuable, moral and most importantly to me – original.

Plurk has always been one of the biggest resource of our incoming traffic. That’s a fact that hasn’t changed over the last 2-3 years, or how Kevin would like to put it, the last 1236 days. Yes, that’s how old his/our Plurk account is.

PLURK is <3

It’s no secret that many of us resort to Plurk more often, rather than Twitter. For one, it’s because Plurk seems more engaging and accommodating to our [main] target audience, which are teens and tweens ranging from 14-21 years old. Secondly, it’s just that we just don’t get the hang out of Twitter at the moment. We’re working on it though!

Kevin has been hooked on to Plurk like forever, from the moment he started using the Social Network. Evenmore so in 2009 when something life changing happened to him, because of using Plurk.

We take our Plurk audience seriously

Kevin is on a decent (not good :p) start in utilizing Plurk again as one of our resources of incoming traffic. It’s very important that we engage further with the community on various social networks, specially due to the fact that we’ll carry on the name Pinoy Teens New Media this 2012.

We’ll make the said social network as our HQ of all Social Media stuff going on. To ensure our audience on Plurk that we’re taking them serious and that Pinoy Teens is indeed, a legitimate site for information, entertainment and education, we applied for the VERIFIED status on Plurk. I’m happy to tell you, that our Plurk account managed by our founder has indeed become one of the select few Verified accounts on Plurk at the moment.

Tip: We’ll run some contests exclusive for our Plurk Friends and Fans soon!

So don’t forget to sign up for Plurk now!

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez will fight each other for the third time. This boxing fight promises to be an explosive battle between two great fighters… We, at Pinoy Teens will teach you how to watch the Pacquiao Marquez fight live and for free.

It’s no secret really, Pinoy Teens has been one of the top resources people resort to when it comes to reliable live stream for Manny Pacquiao boxing fights. Ever since that famous free to watch live stream we offered for Pacquiao vs Hatton, Pinoy Teens has been one of the preferred destinations for boxing fans and Pacman supporters from all over the world.

That hasn’t changed a bit through out the past two years… Pinoy Teens still remains as the go-to place for live stream boxing fights of this calibre.

Pacquiao vs Marquez: An Epic Rivalry

The rivalry between Philippines’ Pacquiao and Mexico’s Marquez has to be one of the most intriguing and controversial yet. For sure, it’s one of the greatest rivalries between Filipino and Mexican boxing fighters. Who will put an end to this rivalry and emerge as the ultimate champion after more or less 10 rounds of boxing?

Manny Pacquiao, favorite; Juan Manuel Marquez, underdog.

It doesn’t happen all too often that Manny emerges as the all out favorite in a boxing fight. Pacquiao’s sheer speed and power made him a fierce opponent for everyone, no matter the size. Marquez is noted to be one of his smaller opponents, so speed will play a big variable in this one.

While Pacquiao was able to amuse himself in landing punch after punch on bigger fighters, it’s going to be a little bit more difficult this time around. Nonetheless, Pacquiao is still the favorite in 8/10 cases based on a online survey that we conducted earlier.

Juan Manuel is not out of the contest though. He’s not to be underestimated and he’s definitely no wimpy boxer who’s going to flee without a fight.

It’s 100-percent going to be the most intensive and adrenaline-rush causing boxing fight of year 2011!

Watch Boxing Live Stream with Sopcast Channels and Player

AS always, I’m proud to present to you our go-to option when it comes to fights of our Sarangani based boxing legend… the Sopcast Player and the very reliable Sopcast Channels for such exclusive live stream affair.

We have never looked back once we got the hook out of the free to download Sopcast player… It has been not only our top choice, but the choice across the board of 80% of all boxing fanatics looking forward to big events like this.

Let’s hope that the live stream channels that we will publish won’t let us down.

I have been a long time follower of the Pinoy Teens Online community. I even contributed articles to the blog every now and then. Yes, I also noticed the slow down in terms of traffic, activity and popularity yet none of these downsides makes me lose confidence in the duo behind the DavaoPost.com blog.

Some of those pioneering readers of Pinoy Teens might even remember me as part of the founding members of this Online Community, and indeed, I was.

Things have changed lately. Even Kevin changed both in a positive way and negative as well. He hasn’t really been dedicating enough time to Pinoy Teens or to blogging in general for that matter but he hasn’t given up on it either. He is going to bounce back, and I’m certain that DavaoPost.com will be the single most important project he’s taken up for this year.

Why do I strongly believe that DavaoPost.com will succeed? Why don’t I fancy other Davao oriented blogs that have established themselves and claim to be cool, somehow? It’s because of these ten simple reasons that I will list to you below.

Before I proceed to my points, I’d like to make clear though that, like the duo Princess and Kevin. I highly respect Davao Base as one of the top blogs oriented for this City. I think they even used them as their inspiration for coming up with DavaoPost.com.

There are also other highly recommended sites about Davao that I love to read.

Why Davao Post will succeed

It is run by a realistic person, not someone who has this illusion of being pro because he/she gets content published that a few read and truly appreciate or because s/he feels being wanted in the industry.

The duo presents open-mindedness and transparency, unlike others who can’t and won’t accept constructive negative criticism. Learning from mistakes is the key! You won’t learn a thing if you just simply hide them! It makes you a poor coward.

An experienced blogger is working behind the scene, on other sites, people believe to be experienced bloggers but just don’t get that touch to extend to the wider, broader community. Kevin did it once, and he can do so again. Social Media has become way more powerful nowadays than it was during his reign as one of the nifty Davao-based bloggers in 2008/2009.

He is at a low at the moment. You can’t get lower than him. There are these few issues that have kept bugging him, but have also inspired him in creating this new blog. He will bounce back like he did several times before. That’s something that I’ve yet to see firsthand from others.

He isn’t after the money, nor the fame – but for the fun of it. Like Kevin noted in his interview. He intends to build up his new Davao oriented blog for the sake of contributing back to the community and not for money. It’s true that he may have picked a better niche to cover it was aimed just for monetary purposes.

Kevin knows WordPress inside and out. It’s always a plus when you really know the software that you’re using. Kevin certainly does.

I’ve never seen Kevin stomp on someone else. Maybe he may have said a few things that irritate him about someone, but never has he tried bringing one down… specially in front of other people. Others, because they believe to be highly professional and surrounded by his/her peers would stomp on someone at on any day at any given time.

The duo is open for partnership with almost anyone. I’ve never noticed Kevin being choosy about the people he’s going to hang out with or pair up with. It has never been the character of the Pinoy Teens community to be choosy about partners. Others might want to make the big fish a top priority.

It is Pinoy Teens / Philippine Teens Media powered. It may be a literally small percentage of people on the web that are aware of this, but seriously, I’m aware of some people who trust Pinoy Teens / Philippine Teens Media when it comes to the content being published and the credibility of it. Impressions last, and Pinoy Teens has left heck of a positive impression on a lot of open minded people.

It’s run by my best friend. It’s his time to shine! I know he won’t beg down from his fall. I know he has been hurt by that single incident which moved him to start all over. I also know, that he will do well this time around.

Curious about these points? They may or may not tell a story, may or may not take a personal view on a particular issue.. but if you read between the lines, you’ll realize what these truly mean for a blogger.

It’s the time of the year again where all we can do is hope that history will repeat itself. T’was in May, during Pacquiao’s famous two round stint against Ricky Hatton that we have nailed over 30,000 Pesos in revenue for a single day.(which is, to be honest a decent feat we’re proud of as Teenagers that run this blog) And we are looking to repeat so, but not only that; we are looking forward to serve the readers of Pinoy Teens with working sopcast channels of the Pacquiao Mosley fight just like we’ve done in his recent fights and other boxing matches that we covered live for free to all of you.

Manny Pacquiao Matches recently covered.

We have covered a number of Manny’s fight for all of you on display here at Pinoy Teens and aspire to continue to serve you with this upcoming boxing fight through working Sopcast Channels that would allow you to live stream Pacquiao vs Mosley for free on your computers at home.

Just to recap, here’s a quick list of recent Manny Pacquiao Boxing Fights that we covered live.

We are more than delighted to inform you that we will post our live stream instructions for the Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley tomorrow (May 4) at 8 in the morning, Philippine Time.

For the mean time, make sure that you have got yourself the Sopcast Player from our colleagues website.

Why Sopcast Player instead of Live Stream Video?

It’s not about why we chose Sopcast Player for Boxing Matches, but why not Sopcast Player for those boxing matches! Peer-to-peer services have always been in demand when big sporting events like Manny Pacquiao Fights happen. It’s because Peer-to-peer services get better and better, the more people are watching. Unlike on a video stream, where everyone is on their on feet trying to connect to whatever they want to connect to.

Sopcast has never let us down, and it’s very likely that Pacquiao – Mosley will be delivered to your monitors fast, for as long as many others think the same way that you do. Else, you can still invite them to visit Pinoy Teens and know more about the Sopcast Player and how to add a channel to it.

The infamous Hostage Taking Drama in Manila, Philippines took place last August 23, 2010. The victims were a number of Hong Kong Citizen tourists.

Three days have past since the very unfortunate Hostage Taking Drama that happened last August 23, 2010 in the Capital of the Philippines. But was it so dramatic after all? Two of the top Pinoy Teens Online Contributors unleash their thoughts and opinions about the said issue that took place in Metro Manila last Monday.

Mediocre Philippine Police take on the bus of the Hostage Taking Drama

First and foremost, I would like to address the S.W.A.T or “S”orry “W”ala “A”kong “T”raining Team for doing everything wrong, and I mean everything. Next, I’d like to congratulate the P.N.P or Philippine National Police for a nice job. I think you guys know what I’m referring to.

From what we know, and from our point of view, we’re certain that this was one of the worst, if not “the” worst operation that I’ve noted from a SWAT Team, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one who thinks that way. Think about it, the SWAT Team noted to have had practiced before the real life situation came up. They did almost nothing good, well, they did something, but it has taken them a lot of time.

Why did the Hostage Taking took place?

The Hostage Taker belonged to one of the Top 10 PNP all over the archipelago. With such high reputation and recognition, you’ll of course, gain a lot of enemies, aside from friends. And that’s exactly what may have happened at the end of his Policeman Career. A turn of events, really. From being one of the most reliable, reputable personalities of the Philippine National Police to the enemy of the very association itself. Being tagged by various claims that he was involved in drug deals and the likes back then in 2008.

It is questionable though, why he acted just recently on this issue which is about 2 years old already. But nevertheless, we really blame him for whatever action he has taken. He had his point, and I think if the SWAT, the PNP and the government didn’t mess up immensely that 23rd of August, 2010, we could have spared the lives of all Hong Kong Citizens on that tourist bus. But guess how it ended up?

Unforgivable Mistakes

I just can’t figure out why. Why did the team on the spot acted like that? Acted with mediocrity, as if they did not take the situation seriously? (Like stupid Noynoy didn’t looked serious in answering the questions raised the other day) The actions they took were very impractical and unprofessional. Suiting the tag that the SWAT has received that I noted above, Sorry Wala Akong Training.

In other countries, the Police would have used the family or in this case his brother in particular to negotiate terms with the hostage taker, but not here in the Philippines. Because if you, the hostage taker has a family member around the scene, they’ll show you how cruel they are and want to anger you even more to have a reason to kill you at the end of the day. But it looks like the hostage taker was not the only person that got nailed by past 10 in the evening last Monday.

Teer Gas? You’ve got to be kidding me. Those passengers had no masks on! And the PNP wildly shot inside the bus! Who knows, maybe it wasn’t Mendoza who has killed them, but stray bullets from the PNP.

I couldn’t see the Police on top of the scene. For all I noted was, that they really badly wanted to have the chance to kill Mendoza. For what? Maybe for hiding something from us all. Because after all, the whole Hostage Taking Drama was a lesson for all Policemen across the globe to exactly do not what they have done, ever again.

I hope that our Policemen will act better when something like this happens again. Or better yet, I hope that such hostage taking drama will not happen again at all.

In behalf of my fellow countrymen, I would like to apologize to the Hong Kong Citizens for how much our police, the government and our dear president have sucked. We’re all people after all, but we can’t deny that a number of those on top of the situation ain’t act as “real” people. I mean, you know what I mean, don’t you?

I know how much it has hurt the Hong Kong citizens, and the families of the victims. But I believe we can do better than getting mad at each other. I just hope that our present administration will realize that they have not handled the situation the best possible way and that they give in for an apology.

THE HOSTAGE TAKER IS NOT THE CULPRIT IN THIS SITUATION, BUT THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE TO HANDLE THE HOSTAGE TAKING DRAMA. ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO IMPRISONED HIS BROTHER FOR WHAT? NOTHING!

TANG, the worlds leading powdered beverage brand presents a new refreshing way to RAMADAN for the Muslim Community, specifically in Mindanao. The second largest food and beverage company, KRAFT presented the Davao-based Media, Traditional and New, with their newly HALAL Certified TANG.

Although, there hasn’t been any changes with the ingredients or packaging of the famous powdered beverage, what’s very notable is that it has been HALAL certified, which speaks not only of quality for the Muslim Community and in the Philippines, but also ensures the quality of the products for non-Muslims as well. TANG has been with about three generations of Filipino already and is on sale for about 36 years now, since 1974.

A Timely Event for a Refreshing RAMADAN

Muslims will enjoy a refreshing Ramadan as Tang gives them a nutritious and delicious beverage – an ideal drink for breaking their fast during this holiest events of the Muslim Community.

It does not only encourages Muslim to drink TANG during their fasting, but encourages the Filipino Child in general to drink more water. It just makes drinking water more exciting for every Filipino! It hasn’t just become affordable and easily accessible by the masses, but it is backed with the HALAL Certification ensuring the quality of the product.

What is HALAL Certification?

HALAL certification is something that is required for Muslims ever since. It is to ensure the quality of the product and the origin of the (raw) materials used in coming up with the product. Like for example, in Chicken, that they have been properly prayed over before slaughtering them. Without the HALAL Certification, the origin of the products, the ingredients, the procedure and as well as the quality of it may be questionable.

The introduction of TANG as a HALAL Certified product is just the first of many efforts in Mindanao. There will be many more to come.
