There’s been no upsest courtesy of the NU Bulldogs as the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles managed to keep the Bulldogs off by a quite impressive score line. The Bulldogs might have outscored the Blues in the second quarter and where able to take the lead for a while by a single point, but Chris Tiu, Jay Reyes and Eric Salamat’s triples helped Ateneo to fade away from the danger that the National University could have caused them.

One reason why Blues have been outscored in the 2nd could be the fact that the players on court where the 2nd unit of Ateneo Blue Eagles, except for Eric Salamat that time. And then, as the National University took the lead, Coach Norman Black moved in Chris Tiu, Jai Reyes and Ryan Buenafe.

Speaking of Ryan Buenafe, he had quite a silent ball game. Hope he’ll do better next week against their arch rivals De La Salle University Green Archers. As for now, one thing is sure. They hold on to the top spot, and hold on to a twice to beat advantage, which they’ve hadn’t had hold on last year.
