ABS CBN blames Perez Hilton about the Takipsilim Issue
The discussion about the Takipsilim Twilight – Twilight Takipsilim Issue (or however you want to call it) is still a sound buzzer on the world wide web. After posting the information on their website which can still be found via Google’s Cache, ABS CBN is denying any truth about the Takipsilim Issue. Just like what we’ve stated in an earlier post for this debate.
What’s really disturbing though is the fact that ABS CBN is blaming the Perez Hilton blog for spreading the according to them false information; while at the other end, it was their own abs-cbnnews.com website that has started the buzz after all. I am on of the thousands who stand against the many who support the movie. The Philippine Television Networks don’t know anything but ripping off other countries work, and then, making such an epic movie a totally mess as a Philippine Television Series.
But, how c0me that they have denied the news that their website has spread?
A lot of factors may come in to play, it’s either they realized that they can’t match the rage of Filipinos who totally dislikes the idea of a Twilight remake into Takipsilim, or it’s just that they can’t take THE WHOLE WORLD standing AGAINST them in the making of this series? I have seen only few people liking the idea that Abs Cbn had in mind about Takipsilim, while I can say that the count against the movie is getting bigger everyday as the news continue to srpead through the world wide web.
Perez Hilton Blog didn’t do anything wrong. They just delivered news to its readers, nothing else. News that are true and honest, but eventually been rejected by ABS CBN themselves; who are now putting the shame on PerezHilton.
Shame on you ABS CBN, we Pinoys are not that dumb to make use of the “see site cache” method to see what was originally post before you dissallowed the access to the content that once spread the ugly news.
As some of you may have noticed a logo/poster or whatevr to be spreading around the web lately showcasing the two ugly Philippine Actors and Actress who are said to play the main roles for Takipsilim; if they ever push it through. Don’t believe in that poster to be anything official. According to sources it’s just a fan creation posted on pinoyexchange.com by a Filipino Takipsilim FREAK, who is literally a FREAK after falling for that.
There has also been a takipsilim related poll spreading around the website and we encourage you to not believe in any poll that is asking for your opinion because they are sure not original. For as long as the poll is not visible on any official Abs Cbn Website, there’s no assurance that you are leaving your opinion on the real thing. What really came to my attention was a blog with the “said to be” official polls, it’s something like takipsilimpolls.blogspot.com or so. Don’t trust on that and don’t believe about anything those blogs are saying about Takipsilim.
Because they sure are not official and are simply user made so that they can earn money from your visits as you search about the Takipsilim Twilight project.

why would they remake Twilight? I mean, a lot of people surely watched this movie. and they love Robert Pattinson not Rayver Cruz, besides, Twilight is famous world-wide. All countries recognize Twilight. What about Takipsilim? How in the world could all of the countries recognize this movie? I think people won’t even dare watch this.

yeah it’s really confusing coz they posted on ABS-CBNnews that they’ll do the remake.. and then, after a while, they claimed that there’s no truth behind it and if so true, they would be the first one to announce it.

Did you (or anyone) see that page from ABS-CBN's site proclaiming the news about Takipsilim? Because anyone can say that 'this page was here before and then they (ABSCBN) took it out.' Because that would be a good excuse on not posting the link as a proof, right?

I have nothing against ABS-CBN remaking Twilight (although I would suggest that they change some of the cast). If ever that was true, at least ABS-CBN did "buy" the rights. Hindi naman siguro "nakakahiya" kung bumili sila ng rights. Binili nga eh. *woot* Unlike Diablo Cody (writer ng movie na "Juno"). She's an American, nananalo ng Oscars, pero super kopya ng plot ng isang Korean Film (Jenny, Juno). Hindi nya binili ang rights or nilagay man lang sa credits. *woot*
And besides, I think "Twilight" isn't that much of a good film, anyway (apart from Rob Pattinson). Malay nyo,mas maganda pala ang special effects na kayang gawin ng ABS-CBN. Most of the films (and TV Series) in Hollywood are remakes, rip-off… etc. So why deny the right for Filipinos to do the same? If they can "buy" the "rights," right? ^_^
But the bottomline is, HINDI NAMAN DAW IRE-REMAKE.

I’m sorry but I fail to see what’s to be proud of when a station is getting their panties in a bunch trying to ride the coattails of an otherwise average but successful film. I don’t doubt for a moment that ABS-CBN have the financial muscle to buy the rights of that movie but with all that disposable money, can’t they just use it to create an original show?
I pray to god that GMA won’t pull the same stunt. They should learn from their competitor’s mistake instead.

Even if they do make it, ABS will ran into a lot of problems. First, they are remaking the movie and not the books. And I definitely think they’d only get the rights to a movie remake rather than the books since Paramount would surely not allow them to move through the books before the movies do. How could you possibly stretch a 2-hour movie into a daily one hour soap running for God knows how long? They have to make a lot of things up and this may not sit well with the author plus they are going to add a lot of their own garbage which would definitely mess with the canon. You risk alienating the die hard Twilight fans.

please don’t forget that there is a time difference between the United States and the Philippines (the Philippines is ahead by more than eight hours as far as I know) that explains the similarity of time.
Depends on the time zone really. EST for example is 13 hours. MST is 12 I think? U.S. has a bunch of different time zones. Then there’s the daylight savings time you have to account. Just a non-Takipsilim FYI.

First and foremost every show is copied. Do you think American Idol originated in the United States if you thought that then you must live under a rock! No matter what shape or form, what language or country remakes Twilight, why is that such a bad thing when all they are trying to do is…how would you say it…bahagi it to the rest of the world?
